    Hello Zerim!

It turns out that among my dad's collection of old games there was a copy of the original Deus Ex so I hope to try playing through that soon.

Do it, best game I've ever played. Took a little to wow me but once it did... Insane.

Playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines at the moment for the first time, shaping up to be quite awesome also. The missions themselves aren't as well developed as in DX but the characters, dialogue etc help make up for this.

The missions get much, much worse at places, and the game doesn't end well at all.

I'm still glad I played it, though. But I can't imagine playing it again, as it's just a really broken game in many ways.

I fully agree with the characters and writing, however. They are ace!

Anyway, I'm a huge Deus Ex fan, over the years I've consumed pretty much every piece of work that's on the internet about the series. Read probably thousands of reviews and such, have tons of fan art and so on saved on my hard drives. I could easily say I've been obsessed with the series ever since I played the first game back in 2004. A bit late to the party, but I'm here and that's all that matters.

I still can't believe I'm saying this every time I say it, but I prefer Human Revolution over the original. Not by much but still, I do. Every time I play both games I realize more and more that this is the case. I honestly think HR is the better game. Maybe I'll expand on this later on in other threads.

I'm also currently working on an hour-long video review/short film/documentary about Deus Ex, and particularly about why I think Human Revolution should've been Game of The Year 2011, why it's a perfect successor to the original, and some stuff about the game's design and development, plus a little side story short film that follows an augmented detective pursuing a conspiracy to spice up the video a little bit. I'm also currently working on making a working replica of Adam Jensen's retracting shades (yes, they retract).

    Hmm, what else?
I'm currently studying for my degree in fine arts, and my dream is to become a game designer. I guess that's all!

Looking forward to meeting all of you. Feels good to be among fellow augs!
Are you Zerim from The Snake Soup?

I'll write a comprehensive article on this eventually. I'll be looking forward to discussing it with you.

    Yep, the one.

PS: has anyone thought how awesome it would be if we could outfit the Widowmaker shotgun with Taser's X-RAP 12gauge less-than-lethal ammunition?

I was hoping I'd play again as a Malkavian just to see how different it is, but if they worse than this it might not be worth it. I just did the mission at the Malkavian Primogens Mansion where he's been murdered and his house burnt by a vampire hunter as you leave, and am now in hollywood picking up a porno for the local bigwig while shooting zombies. The missions you get sent of are fairly linear in themselves which is disappointing as the hubs are quite open. I'm wondering what differences joining the anarchs will have, or if it's a proper choice you can make, not a 'false' kind of choice.

I say you should definitely try playing a Malk. It's a riot. Also, the game has rather extensive fan-made patches, have you tried them?

Hi, I am Chris, and I spent my nights battling the forces of darkness assaulting the gates of the hospital where I work. I like lurking in labs, contemplating world domination and foul language.

Yeah, it was strongly suggested everywhere to run the community patch, which I am. Haven't had any issues so far so I guess it's working.

You better stay true to the Omar. I'm still enforcing their beliefs here. You do not leave.

Yes. Contrary to the popular belief, not all people hate IW. Me and Viktoria are Omar buddies, have been for a while.

Well, how strange! I thought it was against the rules to have multiple accounts. In fact, I could swear members have been banned for it in the past...
