Cool stories of your best game ever on B.S.M. (TELL YOURS)

well to start my favorite battle i ever had was on the map midway. well as we all know on hat map japan has four CV and allies have three CV and two airfields. well what happend me and three friends of mine we got on and we lined all are CV front to back all four CV.(we where japan by the way) well we started to make planes each of us made one fighterplane and two divers or torpedo planes. then we waited for the enemy and as they came in we sent all are planes out to get them but are torpedo planes. as the enemies that got past us were taken out by are AA. once they were out of the way we attacked with great success. and then we brought back all the planes we could and got ready for the next wave. this worked so well that by the end we had destroyed 150 enemy planes and we had lost 50. man did we kick ass but it was fun so tell me some of your war stories. (AND SORRY THIS SO LONG)

one of the best, and weirdest, games that i played was on the map "Samar".

i played on the americans side as one of the carriers and launched some fighter planes if i remember correctly. i started as the CV to the east, so our plan was for my fighters to intercept enemy fighters while the north CV launched torp and dive bombers to attack ships. i began moving my CV to the north to meet up with the other CV. the attack was only half successful because the flak from jap ships along with the better enemy fighters destroyed most of my planes. one DD was damaged and some torpedos hit the Yamato. while this was happening, one of the jap CA's was stealthly moving up the western edge of the map. also our north battleship began trading fire with the yamato while our south battleship attempted to go around and get the jap CV. after moderate damage was given to the yammy from the first battleship, it went down. however the yamato saw the second battleship and turned all the way around to engage it. it succeded in destroying the second battleship aswell, and turned back to the american CVs. this time the other CV hit the yamato with many of his torp bombers and the yamato was put into the red zone of damage. at about this time the japanease decided to just attack with their cruisers because if they didnt the yamato might die. also the japanease Akagi carrier had caught up to the yamato and was protecting it with AA. we had another member on our team who was a "pro player" (harpoon, i think) who kept telling us to attack the yamato and no other ship. however about 2 waves of planes failed and the cruisers were getting closer. (mostly the one that had hidden before) so, against his orders, we began torpedo bombing the cruisers. (the yamato/Akagi were in the middle of the map at this point while we were at top right) the good part of this battle came next because it decided who won or lost. one cruiser got in firing range of my carrier, and by the time it was destroyed my carrier that it was attacking had about 1% health remaining. (one more of its shots would have killed me!). my carrier was tipped over to the side listing badly. we ended up winning the match because we had 2 sets of torp planes against one set of fighters. but it was one of the weirdest and longest games of samar i ever played.

    Rolleyes haha

Well mine was on the Islands of solomon. I started it as a four on one. I was the one on the US side. I had the carriers running along the bottom of the map, constantly sending dive bombers to their shipyards while i was fighting battleships. After at least 4 rounds, the yards were gone and i had spawned 2 battleships and 1 sub by the time the yards got destroyed. They were sending zeros, judys and kates after my units and got one of my ship yards. I was able toget the Repulse to the airfields with a qaurter health and shoot the hangars for the win.

dang that is lucky good job by the way.

Mine was on samar when I had a Cv and the Japanese players got mad at each other and killed all the ships except yamato which only had about 13% health left then my avengers came in and killed it

Once me and a random idiot managed to somehow draw on Solomons. I was out of planes, he was out of planes. However, I noticed he was sailing up the western edge of the island airfield. I waited patiently, then it happened. The fortress on that side opened fire and sank the CV.

I think I'm the only person on this forum who can credit a win to a random gun emplacement.

    thats funny you probably are.

One recent game in sibuyan sea. Thanks to gamespy, a 4 vs 4 game becomes 1 vs 2 game in minutes. I am on jap side.
    1. Mushashi enages Iowa first, then was dramatically damaged. Less than 40% life left. I can't believe it, but it is true.
    2. Yamato was damaged by the sub 20%. Teammate forget to turn on water pump.
    3. Jap air field defend the B17 wave.
    4. Iowa is waiting with full health, it also uses that 'turn and show ass' tactic. But Yamato and Mushashi sink it by cooperation. Iowa sink CA before its death, both Yamato and Mushashi are poorly damaged.
    5. Another Iowa ship took the airfield.
    6. It took the subyard.
    7. 3 japs DDs chase US CV. All US bombers focus on those DDs. Yamato and Musashi catch on.
    8. 3 DDs was finally sunk. At this point CV is at the upright spot, and close to US airfield.
    9. Yamato and Musashi took CV
    10. Yamato and Musashi took airfields.
    11. South Iowa and Pt boats come. PT boats start to attack, all sunk. South Iowa full health. Yamato and Mushashi almost dead. 10% and 20% health.
    12. Yamato and Musashi hide in the island shadow.
    13. South Iowa and another PT boats start to attack. But was sunk by 2 jap BBs...

    Have fun

My funniest battle was on Operation MI. It was a 1v1 battle and I had the American side. My opponent decided, for reasons best known to himself, to bring his 4 carriers into the Midway Atoll and because he was running an all fighter defence I was only able to damage one carrier. So we have 7 carriers anchored in the atoll and because of the sheer quantity of AA fire launching planes from the carriers is a waste of time. I launched my 2 PTs and tried to attack him that way but even though I use my carriers to block the AA from his carriers I only get 4 torpedo hits before I lose the PTs. Next he realises that my airfields are a major threat and decides to try to destroy them with flak but he should have realised that parking a carrier in front of the B17 airfield is a bad idea. I launch a B17 and sink the carrier and then he decides to move his carriers out of the atoll and back into safer waters but I launch all torpedo bombers and send them after the rear most carrier, sinking it while my B17s sink another carrier and then I keep on attacking his last carrier until I sink it, ending the game. It was so funny having all the carriers sitting next to each other and not doing any damage to each other.

yeah, i played a game like that once, when we got the carriers next to each other the american airfield and pt boat hanger was destroyed tho, but it was even because the jap had only 3 carriers left. the funny thing was, the large Akagi carrier was an adantage bacause its AA guns could fire DOWN ont o the planes on the enemies decks, so we managed to get off more planes then them and win.

Hmm, cant rememebr any in enough detail. I've had some great gaes on Steel Monsters killing all enemies for minimal loos, good long games of Coral sea and endless Islands of Solomon.

Had a good game today on Sibyan sea. I was in command of the US subs. I sent 1 sub for the Yamato, 1 for the Musashi. Both scored a first sccessful four torps with only damaged from the crush depth to show for it. After a while, micromanaging both subs became strenuous and I pulled out the one atatcking the Yamato. She was sunk on ehr retreat by DD's and I concentrated on the sub atatcking Musashi.

I continued diving under her, turning and firing before diving under again and turning and firing on the otehr side to keep the DDs occupied. eventurally I ahd to lay off for a while to evade the DDs and found myself just behind the BB following it closely. I wa srunning low on air and the DD's were out of harms way so I surfaced, took on air and fired four at the same time before any shots could hit me. Anotehr repeat fo this sent the mighty ship down!

After this I still ahd six torps left and teh Yamato had been sunk by our own BB's. I headed for the already listing Chikuma and fire doff all six tubes to take her down to half ebfore the BB's finally smashed ehr into a blazing inferno.

In a completely unrelated game, this was a nice hit on a US Crusier.

I always told my friend on xbox live that Japanese cruisers kickbutt. But no He wanted to disagree with me that DD's wipe the floor with CA's. We went on Coral Sea I sent the Maya and he sent his 4 destroyers. He tryed surrounding my CA with is fletchers. But I picked them off one by one and ended up getting hit by only 1 torp. I lost around 3% of my health from his 5 inch shells. He blamed the AI for his loss, I blame stupidity.

If it was a really good player - i.e battleshipman, Akagi - they could probably do it. Hunt for the Cruiser proves also that a destroyer, in the right hands, can sink a CA.

Depends on the CA, I've put the CA (Tone class right?) on sibuyan Sea down with just 2 DD's at least twice. I've never made the attempt on the Maya. maybe I'll force Avenger to help me with that this weekend .

I once took out both American carriers on the Yamato MP map (what's it called again?) with a Takao CA and a Jap DD. It was awesome.

I had had a lot of cool games...

    1. Luzon: I killed 4 Zeros and my Wildcat survived with still 50% health

    2. Multiplayer: I fought with the Warpsprite (BB) killed about 2 BB's and survived with full health.

    3. Sibuyan sea: Attacked Yamato with 9 Dev. together with 9 Avengers

    4. Multi: Coral sea: Won a realy heavy fight.... I had had a US CV...

I've experienced a lot of other cool games but i can't remember

Was playing one guy on BSM on Phillipines. Forget his name, but it was like Cpn_Something....anyway, the 1v1 went really without any kind of hindrance at all. I looked on my radar and found that he wasn't launching any planes at all. When he finally DID launch planes, he launched, of all things, one squad each of Bomb Zeros, Bomb Judies, and Torpedo Kate. And absolutely nothing came from the airfield.

So I seized the opportunity and rushed him with 5 squads of Daunts (the last squad were DC daunts, and (almost) fried the submarine). I sank one of the escorting DDs. Still no activity from the enemy. I then rushed the CV with six wings of Vengers, and sunk that in short order.

So I sent my own submarine, which until that time I kept with my fleet, in. He spotted it and tried to DC it, but I proceeded to sink THREE destroyers with that one submarine, performing the head-on attack each time. At this point I asked him, "How long have you been playing this game?" He replied, "It's different on the Xbox" in what's more or less n00btalk. Anyway, I promptly sent all 4 of my unharmed destroyers in, and completely annihilated him.

I later told him, "You never answered my question." Guess how long the guy was playing?

    "1 year on xbox".

I dunno about you, but I don't believe this guy. >.>

F4F- I used Printscreen and pasted them in photoimpact. I wish BSM had a "Screenshot" option like Command and Conquer games do so u could press
F7 and take a pic saved in a fodler automatically. Maybe BSP will have that.

Fraps can do just that, actually. That's how I took rapid screenshots for the guide for multiplayer.

On Sibuyan Sea I agreed to go 1 vs.4 I started out on the american side and Killed all the ships with the lost of 2 subs ,4 dd's ,and about half health on both of the battleships. Then we switched sides and I won again with the lost of all but 2 dd's, The CA , and the Mushashi.
