This was inevitable, but really hoping they don't change too much. FF6 is a dark game. A player is meant to feel despair when in the World of Ruin. It will completely destroy the mood of the game if the graphics become cartoonish. This was the first real, adult FF made. Please keep it that way.

Square-enix, please add the cgi scenes to this version, the gba extra, and not censoring like the gba version. This would be the definitive game and I wouldn't have a need to keep multiple versions of the same game.

Bringing it to Steam would also be great.

Monsters look perfect, backgrounds look okay but too bright, and the characters look like bowling pins. I really hope there is an option to use another set of character/npc sprites. I didn't see the cgi scenes so I guess those are excluded too

Wonder if it's still censored or has any of the gba things?
I know that some enemy sprites on FFV were censored.

Now if it looked like this, I would be pleased. Very pleased:

Moral of the story? Be carfeul what you ask for. I just can't believe how SE went its way out to make both FF V & VI look uglier than the original games 20 years after they were released. Inconceivable.

I heard his laugh when he saw these sprites.

Thumbs Down Final Fantasy VI Android KitKat Freezes at...

FInal Fantasy VI for Android is freezing at the dialog between Kefka and Leo.

I have tried it on two devices, same result. Others are reporting the same thing happening on KitKat.

Is there any word on an update to fix this bug?

I am completely dead in the water and cannot advance past this. It freezes every time.

I really want to finish this version of the game.

Same freeze on Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4.
It freezes when Kefka is saying "Illusion" usually only saying "Illu"

From what I saw on the Google play store page for the game it is from ART (android runtime). Have you tried disabling that and then trying?

I have yet to get that far, had to button map the game for my nvidia shield.

Final fantasy legends 3, gameboy. Tell me that was not a dark game. Oh you youngin.

Having got ff6 now and played it a bit, this version is pretty nice. Music player, 3d models of the towns on the over world, awesome as hell backgrounds when in battles.

Only downside, no controller support for nvidia shield. Oh well, I mapped most of it myself.

I'm using stock kit kat, I don't even have access to change it to ART.

This is a really bad port. I am embarrassed for it. The monsters aren't the same quality as FFVIOS or FFDimensions. They are photoshop alienskin blowup quality. The character sprites are really bad. Most of the cave or dungeon background are unchanged. The town backgrounds are horrible. The ONLY thing I like about this version is the hud and the portraits. To me, the ps1 and the gba versions are still the superior 2 to have. PS1 for the graphics, the uncensoring, multiplayer, and the cutscenes. The GBA version for the extra content. This is my favorite FF. I collect them all (except this one and the online only ones) and I am really disappointed. This needs to be redone again PROPERLY. Also, why doesn't square throw in some screen smoothing options? On bigger pads, graphics for FF4, FF4TAY, and 2D FF games look really bad (ashy, pixelated). At least put some fullscreen filtering (2D) and or texture filtering (3D) on the games. Going the current route, android does not look like a very good future to me.

Who do I talk to about a bug? The Android version has quite a few, not that they'll be interested in fixing them, but anyone else has one where Relm suddenly becomes a Moogle sprite? it happens in every battle in the WoR, even when she's under vanish, the sprite is still a moogle. It's not fatal, just annoying.
