Question for UK Taffers on proper envelope addressing

I'm just wondering to set it straight in my head, how to most properly address an envelope headed your way from the US! The problem is that Paypal order page puts extra line breaks, I'm sure, in the address. For example:

    Ben Ramsey
    123 Long Street
    Someplace
    Anotherplace
    AB1 2CD
    United Kingdom

Should this rather be placed on the envelope like this?

    Ben Ramsyy
    123 Long Street
    Someplace, Anotherplace AB1 2CD
    United Kingdom

That would be more similar to US postage tradition, but does it really matter anyway? Thanks!

And what are the names? Is the first one the City/Town and the second one the County/District/whatever?

(BTW, I've sent dozens of CDs/DVDs to UK so far without problem, but I'd just like to know for sure once and for all!)

Here's an example from a return address from the UK:

    Name of party
    Street address (10 Chickweed Lane)
Oaken Gates (Mail sub division I think)
Town (Portsmouth for example), TF26JN (like our Zip Code)
    Stropshire (county)
    England (Country)

  3. Yeah,

    Name,
    House number and street,
    Postal Town,
    County,
    Postcode.
    Country.

For me there's an extra line in between house # and postal town where I need to put the name of our village too. Most follow the above though.

    I always put something like:

    John Smith
    10 Castle Road
    GUILDFORD [<--- town]
    Surrey [<--- county]
    GU1 7XY [<--- post code]
