Cool Name The Game

Name The Game

Just thought I'd give this a trial run. A game where you must guess what game is hinted at by the pictures.
For example, if there are two pictures - one of outer space and the other of an invading horde - the answer would be Space Invaders. Get it?
• I post a picture clue to a computer game, the first member who names the game gets a point, then I will post another, etc. At the end of the game (Ten games to guess this time), the member with the most points wins.
• No sigs in this thread.
• If a clue picture proves too elusive, I will try to give some hints - but these may be cryptic as well.

OK! Lets see how it goes.

Here is clue #1 (An easy one to start with)

Which Monkey Island though? There are four games in the series.

I agree with Nerevar: good idea.

Nerevar gets the first point. It was, indeed, Monkey Island. It was the first of the series and, therefore, had no number.

So, just to get us into our stride, another easy one.

Big Grin

Hmm, I think I will go with Thief. It's either a reference to that or staticon changed the game to Name That Cereal and it's his attempt to display Cookie Crisp

Point to Umah. BTW - I've never heard of Cookie Crisp so it's unlikely to be an ad.

Rushing headlong into clue #3 (still easy. )

Tomb Raider? I can't decide which title in the series though.

Tomb Radar!
Could be TR One - only one tomb is focused on.
Or it could be TR Two - There are two pictures.
My guess is that it's the series in general.

Point to Munin. The first game of the series was just called Tomb Raider.
An honourable mention for Deek as well. (Radar was the nearest thing I could find to Raider to depict visually. )

I think the next one is a little harder but we'll see how it goes.

Yahoo! er ahem! Sorry Munin. That is incorrect. (though the second part of your answer is right.)

Methinks I'll leave this one to run its course overnight whilst I catch up on my beauty sleep.

The main problem with shooting in the dark without infra-red sights is that you will frequently miss - which appears to be the case here. Better luck next time.

Sorry, DMK_Uriel. Not correct.

Time for some clues, methinks.

Free your mind from confinement,
To solve this requires refinement.

Open your eyes and you will see,
The answer is there quite literally.

Use your hand and use your mouse.
What's that? A tiny, Viking house.

A Sim game here, set in the past.
Now, when did I hear of that last?
I sincerely hope that this does not help too much.
I know! I've put all the clues up at the same time. Now, who wants to know the answer?

This is a real stretch. I've heard of and seen this game but never played it:

The Legend of Kyrandia Book 2: The Hand of Fate

I think that one's circa '93 or '94. It was a PC game similar to the King's Quest series.

It's a sequel and there's a hand in the picture.

As a second, more reasonable guess:

Spiderman 2: Enter the Sinister Six for Game Boy Color?

It's a sequel, there are six dots in each tray, the whole bio-engineering theme...
