    Give Nosgoth a last chance

Please don't shut down Nosgoth, because this game is great.
I grew up with Legacy of Kain, since 1999 (when I was a dumb kid). I LOVED Soul Reaver, even my name Zarxiel shows my love for the franchise (it’s an anagram of Raziel with an X, reference to Kingdom Hearts, too). When you announced Nosgoth it was one of the best days ever for me, and I am sure I am not alone with that.

Ok, there are not many players right now, but this is just because the game is not in a good state at the moment. However, this should not be a big problem. I mean, THIS IS A BETA, not a complete game, you can fix the things and the players will certainly come back.
Honestly I don't have any problems to play after the Beastmaster patch (exept for the CtB mode, sometimes I could not find a lobby).
You just have to forget about new content and start fixing the existing problems. And most importantly: HEAR the community. A lot of fans say you didn’t hear us. NOW is your occasion to show us we are wrong!
Here is a list of the REAL problems of the game:

    1-Launcher:
For me this is not much of a problem. Ok, sometimes I need to restart it, but in the second time it works perfectly. A lot of other players seem to have problems, though. So what’s wrong with Steam? Leave the game there, don't do superfluities. Just do the things the game really needs. So REMOVE the launcher. The few players who refuse to use Steam won’t have any impact on the player count.

    2-League points:
Here I totally agree with community. The league points system is totally strange and bugged. Even if the message says "After your teammate left, you can leave without penalty" this is not true. I see when I leave - even when we are 3/2/1 vs 4 - I LOST 4 POINTS. Another issue with the system is, that the high ranking players often lost a lot of points (even 12 points) when losing a game. That is crazy. In this way, you only incite players to rather leave the game early, and not finish it.
It was suggested by a lot of fans, to make the points related to the player’s performance. The more points/kills a participant does, the more league points they get. Another suggestion would be:
    -Win=+12/+14 points
    -Draw=+2 points
-Lost=0 or -1 points (-2 or -3 in high ranks)
It would also be an option to give a team with a close defeat more points, than a team that was stomped. This way teams, which are about to lose will not give up or even leave the game.

    3-No cash prize:
This is a really strange idea. You only waste money in this way. How can you even consider giving away money in an unfinished game? This was another failed attempt to attract more players. Not everyone is as greedy as you. Give only Runestones to Eternal players, BUT NOT TRUE CASH. If you give away real money, it probably will not be reinvested into the game by the winners. You cannot buy players.

    4-Chests:
This is a thing EVERYBODY told you from the start. I love the chest's skins. But please only leave the skins and the UNIQUE abilities/weapons (and maybe Exotic, Mourderous and the like), BUT REMOVE THE UNCANNY ITEMS OR THINGS LIKE THIS. The players can achieve them through other and more easy ways.

    5-Matchmaking queues:
In CtB recently took A LONG time to find a lobby. In TDM I don't see this problem (at least for me). Something seems really wrong, and I doubt it was a lack of players.

    6-Better prizes for league:
The last 3 prizes were not satisfying at all. The Raziel's Pride was a good idea, but the special effect was not that special at all. Well okay, you cannot find that FX on Sonic Boom anymore, but that’s not making it unique. The shotgun for the Beastmaster was not great either, and the Turelim skin was just a bad joke. Make the rewards available for Gold rank, or at least make two rewards. A not so cool one for Gold, and another for Blood would be fine. That won’t be such a problem, if there was a pause between leagues, which is my next point.

    7-League pause:
A thing that everybody wants (and I think you all noticed this), is to make a pause after each League. The grinding made us all really exhausted. It would be perfect to make something like:
    1 Month league->1 Month Flashpoint -> 1 Month league -> 1 Month CtB -> 1 Month league -> 1 Month 5 vs 5
At least make a two weeks break between each league.

    8-Focus on bug fixing:
Forget the new content, only FOCUS on the current bugs and the things the fans demanded. This is the most important thing. HEAR THE COMMUNITY.
Like now, a lot of fans say, that there are problems. This does NOT mean they don't like the game, but the exact OPPOSITE. They LOVE this game, and they want to see it in its best shape possible.
This game is unique, it’s amazing, and left me to remember the good old days, when I played new LoK games. Yes this is not like the old games, but I LOVE all the references.
So please Psyonix, please Square Enix, DON'T GIVE UP. I love this game, so please don't shut it down. You don’t even know how much happiness you gave to me and probably to others fans with this game. Continue it, even if you need 3 or 4 months for fixing all this WE DON'T CARE. We will wait all time necessary for this game to get polished.
    Don't give up...
It is not impossible to fix this game. Give it the last chance it deserves.
If you will do this, old players will come back and new players will be recruited to come to play and learn.

    9-Pay:
If it is necessary to keep the game alive, I will be happy if this game will became a Pay to Play, but only if this is the last possibility. A lot of people will hate this idea, I know, but I really loved this game. To pay a bit of money to play this game would be okay for me, if necessary. To attract new players you could give a few free hours to everyone, if they want to buy it, they will. It is called a Demo. But please do not rush it, make it playable and noob friendly first.
Please Psyonix, Please SE, consider the idea to give Nosgoth a shiny rebirth.

Some good suggestions. The Leagues (without a decent pause was daft). Also I would give really limit cash prizes or give runestones. Although if the game got bigger you could look at this, but the time at which Nosgoth was at, it always seemed stupid to me. Sign the petition! You can see it on my Thunderclap https://www.thunderclap.it/my/edit/4...ut-the-servers

Even though you don't have much problem with the game, I can assure you last weeks were painful and it was impossible to create parties (it still is pretty hard).

But apart from that, I agree. This would be their chance to prove that they are actually able to listen to feedback. Never saw that many people coming to the forums and share their love for the game. You have your core player-base that won't leave the game, you still can build a whole community on top of that ! If you focus on what's important : content, bugfixes and listening

I rarelly play in party, so I don't know if the party system have problems, but Deathmatch (for me) work perfectly

    How about this:
If Nosgoth really dies, is it possible for another publisher to publish the same game in a different skin?
Like Mechs vs Humans, Gorgoyles vs Humans, Brits vs Scots - you get the idea.
Setting could be futuristic or straight steampunk (which would be awesome). Since the technical grid is given, one could use the engine and just reskin everything. BAM - new Nosgoth for us, with a publisher that has the ability to keep it alive.
IF there is a way to do this without copyright infringement.
I want a game exactly like Nosgoth, if it can't be Nosgoth we will need someting new.

You can be sure I will NOT play that game, I play Nosgoth only for ONE reason: Legacy of Kain, if they make a Mech/Gargoyls or what you want VS Humans, will be NOT Legacy of Kain, and I will not play it.
To say the truth, I hate games like this, Nosgoth is the only one I love only for ONE REASON, he is a Legacy of Kain game, with a lore that I love, references I love, classes of "characters" that I know and I loved.
Only for this I played Nosgoth, so if SE will made the same game but with a different franchise, I WILL NOT PLAY THAT

The idea is not stupid, but I have to agree with Zarxiel. Even though I'm not a fan of LoK and a specialist of this franchise, this is what I love about the game : the universe, the feeling, the atmosphere, the characters . It would not be the same game without the LoK atmosphere imo.

That is an interesting idea but I really think here on the forum it would go down badly. I myself don't think I could do it, the lore etc. would completely put me off.

Yeah, it's a good idea but obviously the LoK fans won't like it one bit. But the publisher could come up with its own dark and gritty universe and if they come up with their own lore the game's development would be a lot quicker since they wouldn't have to do any research to create new classes, game modes and maps.

It's all a moot point though, I just don't see it happening.

To be honest, I doubt rabbling on the forum will help.
I've been rabbling at their support address instead.
    More direct.
After the forum goes down, I can be found on Steam, Twitter, and Facebook.

Out of curiosity, did you get any reply? And what kind of feedback are you giving them?

Well, it was a very recent rabble so not yet.

And I just gave some frustrated (but edited for tact) words on why their project has failed them, how they could fix it (from advertising to a pay-to-play model) and the reasons (including the clear love of the players) they ought to do so.

I also suggested that barring Nosgoth's repair, they ought to try again with the main property rather than throw it away again, with arguments in favor of its profitability.

Ok that seems great. I might do that when I have the time and suggest the same thing to others. But we need to be calm, polite and clever in our suggestions. I'm not too afraid since we all share more or less the same ideas regarding the future of the game and the possible solutions to save it
