    Top 5 Good
    1. Customizable UI and Gameplay "Hints"
    2. Character animations
    3. AI behavior and commentary
    4. Disguise System Overhaul
    5. Opportunities

    Top 5 Bad
    1. Cutscenes glitching/chopping [I assume] while the game loads. Using cutscenes as loading screens is great, but while the game loads, the cutscenes kind of get a little choppy and then lip synchronization gets thrown off in terms of characters speaking before the audio plays, implying that the scene suffered an audio delay.
    2. Heavy weaponry (assault rifle and shotgun) magnetizing to 47's back (i.e. without a holster or shoulder strap.)
    3. Heavy weaponry holstered on 47's back raising no suspicion when walking past the enemy.
    4. Dead bodies glitching about when being dragged.
    5. Interrupting scripted moments (poisoning Ritter and then pulling the fire alarm; he'll make his way to the bathroom to vomit, but the fire alarm being pulled interrupts that and he instead reacts to the alarm and returns to "normal" as if he'd never been poisoned.)

    1. Agent 47 movements are smooth and decisives.
    2. I love the fact that you can knock out someone with a crowbar (even throwing it at him)
    3. Love the fact you can snap someone's neck when he's knocked out
    4. Love the sandbox levels and the freedom to act as you want
    5. Love the fact that magic pockets extinguished but...

    Top 5 Bad
    1. ...what the hell with weapons magnetizing on Agent 47's back?
    2. and what the hell with weapons disappearing from his hand. How can you hide a crowbar in your jacket?
    3. Blood is not realistic. When you drag a victim you just shot it doesn't leave blood stains (as it did on Blood Money) and I want to see blood spatter on the wall!
    4. Garrotting someone takes too little time, 3 seconds would be perfect (it just takes 1...)
    5. That's all! Definetely enjoyed it!

    Really?
There's never been co-op in Hitman games. It defeats the whole purpose of the theme. If you're expecting co-op, you'll be waiting a very long time, indeed.

    1. Movement (I would like a way to strafe left/right without a weapon drawn though, maybe holding aim with empty hands)
    2. Very little health, guns blazing is a challenge now
    3. Hud options
    4. Melee combat, both stealth and aggro versions
    5. Disguises and enforcers (current numbers of enforcers on map is perfect)

    Top 5 Bad
    1. Challenges/Feats menu takes away from exploration and discovery (I made a thread with details about this)
    2. Changing disguise, Garrotting and hiding bodies is accomplished far to quickly
    3. Enemy's don't notice/react to pools of blood on the ground
    4. Can no longer use a person as a human shield (very annoying when you want to drown the target in a toilet) xD
    5. Instinct allowing you to see the target at very long ranges

    Top 5 Good:
    1. Graphics
    2. Numerous ways to complete missions
    3. Walking movement looked good and fluid
    4. AI of NPC's was on point
    5. Sound effects were solid

    Top 5 Bad:
    1. Major character glitches. Characters would go flying from the floor through the ceiling after strangling them. Strangling characters looked bad (arms went the characters, which took away from the realism aspect of the game).
    2. Certain dialog was difficult to hear.
    3. I don't like that Agent 47 doesn't really look like he is opening and closing doors (I was expecting more realism).
    4. Throwing bodies in crates does not look realistic either.
    5. Would be cool if you could hide inside cars as well or hide bodies inside cars.

Overall, I am enjoying the beta and finding new ways to assassinate the targets. Maybe, it's just because it's the beta that certain realistic elements are missing as mentioned in my bad list.

    1. Back to Blood Money Feel.
    2. Love the disguise system. It feels very realistic.
    3. Multiple ways to complete mission and so far none of them feel forced. I poisoned a drink and someone else drank it. Just amazing.
    4. I like the amount of options there are to turn things on and off.

    Bad
1.While I love the disguise system I was able to kill someone and everyone saw me walk into a bathroom that had someone in it. I quickly killed the guy and stole his clothes and walked out no problem. I'm not sure I like that.
    2.
    3.

Overall I think the beta is great.

    1. Ability to choose weapons
    2. Multiple ways to kill
    3. Much improved disguise system
    4. Ability to turn certain game features on/off
    5. The auto saves and saves are back!

    Top 5 Bad
    1. The third person view when aiming looks very strange to me
    2. When I want to pick a lock, the screen goes to inventory just to select the lock pick. It should equip automatically like in blood money
    3. I don't like the slo-mo when shooting a target
    4. Not enough blood and no blood splatter or trails
    5. Weapons just disappearing when you put them away. He should look like he's putting them away.

    Top 5 Good:
    1. Animation is top-notch.
    2. Level design is robust.
    3. Customizable UI! Excellent idea.
    4. Disguise system is MUCH better.
    5. Overall good beta impression.

    Top 5 things to improve:
    1. The sound leaves a lot to be desired. Some guns don't register sounds if fired quickly / music is very dull / dialogue during 'talk-to' button prompts has wrong stereo placement.
    2. AI seems to be inconsistent, for both crowd AI and enemy AI - I could shoot right next to a civilian's head, but as soon as I shot the person next to him / her, they would freak out.
    3. I wish I could disable the icons next to button prompts telling me if an action will raise suspicion or not! I'm assuming that 'Drown target' will arouse suspicion if anyone else sees it. I can figure that out.
    4. On PS4 - maybe have the map mapped to the right side of the touch pad, and the journal / challenges to the left? Just a suggestion. Easy map access would be nice with the mini map turned off.
    5. SEN linking - put my email in, hit submit, nothing happened. Not sure if it worked?

Overall, I'm definitely impressed. I'll continue to play over the weekend and chime in with any other ideas / suggestions / gripes as I play.

    1. UI, disguises and alert radar works much better than previous games
    2. Graphics, character detail and clothing looked good
    3. AI would tell you that you weren't supposed to be in an area with a disguise and escort you out instead of immediately shooting
    4. Challenge/feat system. A lot of variety in how to go about
    5. Episodic and live content. I think I will prefer getting a few levels at a time and updates to keep it fresh instead of rushing through everything in a week.

    Top 5 Bad
    1. Feat meeting Sparrow as Norfolk did not activate after multiple attempts and seemed to be bugged
    2. Fiber wire kill animation looked a bit off every time like he wasn't actually getting it around their neck
    3. Lack of blood
    4. You could walk up to the Sparrow causing him to become suspicious which would make him follow you around to a remote location where you could kill him. This made things too easy. Final targets should remain protected and make you hostile if they suspect you. Once your cover is blown, you shouldn't be able to get a new disguise to blend in again.
    5. Cutscene issues

Overall good. Still want to play around a bit more with it.

    Top 5 Good

    1. David Bateson's voice acting.
    2. HUD, weapon selection and movement is so clean.
    3. Mini missions when wearing a certain outfit like if you wear the KGB officers suit you can talk to certain people and do more tasks.
    4. People's diversity of dialogue when talking to you depending on what disguise you're in.
    5. Sooo much diversity and freedom of choice on how you assasinate your target.

    Top 5 Bad

    1. The weapons that randomly float on your back, i find that can be done better rather than a gun just dangling on your back.
    2. The music is so generic it sounds as if i'm watching a James Bond movie what happened to the dark gritty music. I think dark music like what Jesper Kyde had in the old hitman games really shaped the atmosphere of this game. I would say this is my top priority on my list, darker music.
    3. The aim is so stiff, no arm movement what so ever. it's like a stick holding out a gun.
    4. i'd say 90% of the kill animations like subdueing, executing with a gun or garroting is the same exact animation just like in Absolution.
    5. Definitely needs more blood, If i shoot someone in the head i wanna see a blood splat or when i drag the body a little blood smeared on the ground would be nice.

I wanna finish this off with saying a big thanks to the Hitman team, you guys made and make me a very happy player of the franchise. 8/10 forsure. Alright bye now, off to play the beta more

    Top 5 Good

    1. Blood money feel (sandbox environment and not linear) and the variety of ways to complete a mission
    2. The amount of bullets it takes to kill and be killed
    3. The new disguise system
    4. Overhearing conversations and opportunities
    5. Guards don't start shooting you straight away if you wonder into a restricted area

    Top 5 Bad

    1. Animation of putting your gun away. It just disappears instead of 47 moving his hand into his jacket.
    2. Not enough blood, including blood splatters, blood pools and blood trails by dragging a body
    3. Animation of hiding bodies, it doesn't show 47 actually picking them up. Instead it cuts straight to a scene of the body about to be hidden
    4. Some challenges are sort of spoilers for discovering how to kill the target
    5. The cut scenes are sometimes choppy and lip synching is sometimes off

  15. #15
    Top 5 good
    1. The design of the buttons and the fact that they are dynamic
    2. Mini map! ( though it could be a little bigger )
    3. Tactical options
    4. AI is much more fun than to play with ( than absolution )
    5. Placement system is great, so cool to hide the explosive!

    Top 5(ish) Bad(suggestions)
    1. No gun draw animation?
    2. No realistic Carry limit; unlimited space
    3. No suitcase, or hiding spot for big weapons ( rose case, suitcase, etc )
    4. Camera is little annoying, doesn't follow enough
    5. Aiming is a little off, feels not as smooth as blood money
    6. No blood spatters, No wounds, exit wounds.
    7. No bloody trail from dragging? And no option to clean the blood? Isn't blood a weird thing for npc, no reaction?
    8. If u walk trough blood like BM there was a trail of the shoes
    9. The Distance to be spotted, no difference if your face is toward or away from the npc
    10. More info of What u can disable in the gameplay options ( what does what )
    11. Opportunities should be time based and not triggered by player.
    12. opportunities are shown on map even though the hints are turned off
    13. Chain effect is not really present other than guards being alert, no action
    14. Npc reaction to sertain opportunities is a little weird.

Overall; supportive and my preorder of the full ride is there to stay, the fact that u guys are really want to great the best hitman is enough for me to stay along.

    1. Not enough blood.

    Top 5 Good

    1. Disguises system back and better than ever
    2. Interesting, alive-feeling sandbox world
    3. NPCs react in more realistic ways, a good variety of dialogue tailored to the situation
    4. Graphics looking lovely, particularly dazzling cut-scene visuals
    5. Good re-playability with an large array of challenges and feats

    Top 5 Bad

    1. Triggering for some of the opportunities needs a look at
    2. Now that some ppl mention it, the heavy weapons sticking magically to your back does look kinda odd...
    3. Picking a lock should automatically select the lockpick (thanks dstyles751, good point!)

I don't know if I agree with the many calls on here for more blood. Tbh I didn't really notice it, but I know that these were training exercises - maybe this is why it was relatively clean?

Good job, guys. Keep it up

  18. #18
    Top 5 Good:

    1. Feels a lot more like Blood Money. Movements and speed are closer to Absolution which is good for tight timing. Map size is also quite good even for only two maps.
    2. Great variety of different methods to dispatch your enemies. As well, the training scenario was rather interesting.
    3. Most graphics and animations look very good. Speed of walking is good for not being too tedious ala Hitman 2.
    4. Instinct bollocks of getting by and blending in is gone for the most part so thank you! I couldn't stand that in Absolution. It seriously made the game way too easy unless you were playing on the highest difficulty.
    5. Disguise system works well and makes sense for the most part.
    6. Sorry, loading bar is just badass.

    Bad Top 5

    1. Challenges and discovery. These to me spoil some of the levels and what you can get away with. I really enjoyed old Hitman games where trial and error helped pave the way for some really unique kills. It required more thinking. I'm not saying they're the end of the world as they can be disabled and its probably better for new players to the series or people that just want to power through it.
    2. Had one major freeze where the game locked up and I had to return to the PS4 menu to fix. Loaded back up and no problems since just wanted to put that out there.
    3. Animations when picking up bodies to drop into bins is a bit funky looking and probably needs a bit of work.
    4. Instinct should go. Its definitely been nerfed but observation is one of Agent 47's primary means of execution.
    5. Why do subtitles work in the missions but not for the cutscenes? It can be hard to tell what folks are saying on low volume.

Magnetizing is probably due to them getting rid of the magic pockets crap they did in previous entries. In earlier games, carrying a heavy weapon was incredibly dangerous. Especially if it didn't fit the disguise etc.

    Top 5 Good

    1. It brings the series back to it's non-linear roots. Plenty of options available.
    2. The UI is very clean. Good HUD and inventory screen designs.
    3. Good sound design. Guns sound punchy and powerful, melee takedowns all give the impression of a realistic struggle.
    4. Good voice acting.
    5. Most of the animations look quite good, with only a few exceptions (storing bodies and garroting NPCs can be quite glitchy).

    Top 5 Bad

    1. The requirement that all bodies be hidden in containers to achieve Silent Assassin. Terrible idea. Unnecessarily limiting.
    2. The AI. Mostly good, but the fact that they don't respond negatively to the player dropping suspicious items is exploitable and immersion breaking.
    3. The "Opportunities" system is very hand-holdy. Almost to the point where it insults the player's intelligence.
    4. The removal of the ratings system in favour of challenges. An end of mission performance breakdown with corresponding rating was far better.
    5. The framerate. Seriously. Fix that. Cap it at 30, tone down some effects, whatever. Just get it stable.

  21. #21
    Top 5 Good
    1. Consistent, open worlds where you kill a target and escape just like the old Hitman games and unlike Absolution
    2. Many of the nice gameplay elements Absolution introduced, like the gun executions or the quick drag from a strangle, feel more fleshed out and like they have their own specific uses instead of just being a different fancy way to kill people
    3. Levels seem very detailed, even if there's not a whole lot of things to find in them at the moment
    4. An actual big focus on stealth; it's very difficult to survive in a gun fight which is the way a stealth game like this should be
    5. Surprisingly good sense of humor in a lot of places, especially the entire concept of a fake mission on a boat that's clearly not real and all the visual touches that go along with that, though much of the "goofy" dialogue gets old very fast

    Top 5 Bad
    1. NPC conversations and schedules/events seem to be entirely dependent on you witnessing them, rather than constantly happening and being something you discover and work around (this is a HUGE flaw and almost breaks the entire game)
    2. No summary of your performance at the end of a mission
    3. Human shields seem to be completely missing? This was an aspect I always really liked, since it was essentially your only method of escaping from or succeeding in open combat in Blood Money
    4. While I do like how much dialogue there is, especially the unique and situational stuff, it's only been a day and some of it's already starting to get repetitive and/or annoying
    5. The quick time event melee sequences carried over from Absolution. It should really just be an instant knock down or a slightly weaker melee attack you can do instantly like in Blood Money. Having to do QTEs for this sort of thing is just silly and tedious.

    The good

    1. Full control over HUD elements and other potential spoilerific handholding elements such as Opportunities. I love the way I can set this all to the level I want and the game remains fair and playable.

    2. Instinct. This is now the perfect way to give 47 a bit of ESP and means I don't have to have the minimap on keep diving into a full-screen map. It looks good and gives just the right amount of information.

    3. AI. Not tested thoroughly but from the limited encounters I've had it seems to be calibrated just right in terms of suspicion, incidental reactions and information-propogation between NPCs.

    4. Save system. Great to have the choice between manual and auto. I'd also give the option to disable auto-saves entirely.

    5. Bringing so much back from Blood Money: mines, body-bagging, guards sequestering firearms etc.

    The bad

    1. Inventory. Detailed in the dedicated HUD thread - a highly intrusive, immersion-shattering way of implementing item select. Players should be able to quickly select weapons and items in real-time without breaking the flow. Loads of games get this right; Hitman needs to steal a system from one of them. Absolution did this much better.

    2. No alternative control schemes. My main beef is that holster/unholster - a critical command that plays a vital part in a smooth, clean hit - is relegated to the d-pad where it's hard to reach, especially when you're walking. Needs to be on face button or shoulder button.

    3. Aiming is way too zoomed-in by default which makes snap shooting and firefights awkward. I'd much prefer the default aimed view to be more like the one you get when you tap the right trigger (but with a more accurate reticle), and then be able to further zoom in by clicking the right stick. You don't need to change stance whilst your aiming - a zoom toggle would be a much more useful of the right-stick click command whilst aiming.

    4. Still some HUD issues: can't turn off the info at the top left (main objective) and right (challenge info or something?). Also can't see what item is equipped when it is holstered.

    5. No human shield move. Such a shame!

    1. Feels like an upgraded blood money. The freedom, diversity of the world, targets to assassinate etc.
    2. Opportunities, gives the level more life and realism.
    3. The graphics and design of the levels were pleasing to play (however i hope there will be larger levels, but then again i guess they were small cause they were training/beta levels?)
    4. The movement/animations of 47 and AI felt smooth and nice.
    5. Loving the disguise system, and how there are some AI that can see through your disguise. Makes it feel more realistic and challenging.

    Top 5 Bad

    1. Pressed down on the d-pad (because i thought that was how you holster a gun) and it didnt notify me that i have dropped my item. So i think there should be some sort of notification that i have dropped something.
    2. I feel like opportunities should occur at a certain time, and not triggered by the player.
    3. Shooting feels a little off (and i dont mean my accuracy haha!)

Overall the beta was sooo fun to play. Gave me some time to think of all the bad experiences. Im glad the game is heading towards the blood money feel again, and it was hard choosing 5 good experiences because there were too many!

1 civilians don't pick up weapons ten percent of the time like blood money which led to unpredictable aspect of chaotic massacres
