Deus Ex Forums Members' Rights and Responsibilities
Rights
• Each Member has the right to have fun. After all, that's the whole point of having these forums. Playful insults among friends is acceptable behavior.
• Each Member has the right to express his or her opinion. A world where everyone agrees is no fun at all. However, this right does not extend to publicly harassing other forum members or to violating the Terms of Use.
• Each Member has the right to thread integrity. If a thread begins to wander off the intended course, the Moderator will either delete the off-track posts or break the thread in two.
• Each Member has the right to be treated with respect. There are no circumstances where anyone should be subjected to ridicule or insults. Even a warezer deserves to be told to bugger off in a polite manner.
• Each Member has the right to make mistakes. Everyone has grumpy moods now and then, and this may lead to posting inappropriate remarks. Either the original poster or the moderator may clean up after occassional indiscretions.
• Each Member has the right to be forgiven. If anyone apologizes for bad behavior, everyone involved should try to put the incident in the past.
• Each Member has the right to protest Moderator decisions and actions. However, such protests must take place via private messaging or email. Taking a protest directly to the Administrators is a legitimate course of action.

Responsibilities
• Every Member has the responsibility to follow the Terms of Use. If you're not sure that what you plan to post follows the guidelines, err on the side of caution.
• Every Member has the responsibility to not feed the Trolls. If an abusive personality drops in, leave him or her to the Moderator.
• Every Member has the responsibility to resolve personal conflicts. If you and another member have a falling out, you should attempt reconciliation. If need be, the Moderator can act as mediator for such situations.
• Every Member has the responsibility to report problems to the Moderator. If you observe behavior which violates the Terms of Use, do not respond directly, even if you are the one abused. Only the Moderator may take action against anyone violating forum rules and etiquette.
