strikingly similar to that of Denzel Washington, I also think it is a part he'd
play well. Unfortunately, it's not cost effective to use such a big name in a
relatively minor role. </FONT></P></td></tr><tr valign="top" bgcolor="#C0C8D0"><TD width=18% valign=top><FONT SIZE="2" face="Arial"><B>THEthief</B></font><BR><FONT SIZE="1" face="Arial">Member <P>Posts: 1759<BR>From:The land of Chilvary, Rachel's Empire<BR>Registered: Jun 2001</FONT></td><TD><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Arial"><FONT SIZE="1" color="#001450" face="Arial">posted 06-08-2002 08:00 PM</FONT><HR><BLOCKQUOTE style="margin-top:0px;"><font size="1" face="Arial">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by The Night Owl:<BR><B>Actually, I kind of hope they do change the story a lot. Alex Denton, Manderly, Anna, Hermann, Paul and the others. Of course, Smuggler,

oriental men and women, of varying roles all through the game. That's my

recent movie version of Charlie's Angels? That's Lucy Liu, and while she's
technically too young to play Maggie Chow, that scene shows how good she'd be
in the role -- sexy (perfect legs), sadistic, etc. (That scene is also
roll-on-the-floor funny, btw.)<P>Another good choice for intensity and sexy legs (Maggie has to have the sexy
legs) is Zhang Ziyi (the younger martial artist in Crouching Tiger, Hidden
Dragon.) Again, she is technically too young, but in both cases, they can be
made to appear slightly older with makeup. IMO Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon, and Tomorrow Never Dies) looks too old (but still beautiful...)<P>Now comes the part where you are all going to yell at me for "changing the
story." <IMG SRC="http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"><P>Has anyone else felt that Maggie Chow should have been harder to beat, given
her status in the enemy ranks? Well, hand-to-hand combat is unfortunately not
do-able (not well, anyway) in the old Unreal engine, but what if it had been
possible? What if our sweet Maggie was a Kung Fu expert?<P>Kung Fu against JC's augs - ooooh, that'll bring in the audience (and the
bucks) if it's done well. All of the women I've mentioned know martial arts.
(And both of those movies were made by Sony/Columbia, hint, hint...)<P>I do *not* mean that the DX movie should be turned into a kung fu flick -- but
what is Hong Kong without some martial arts?<P>OK, flame me now... <IMG SRC="http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"></FONT></td></tr><tr valign="top" bgcolor="#DFE0E0"><TD width=18% valign=top><FONT SIZE="2" face="Arial"><B>FierceClaw</B></font><BR><FONT SIZE="1" face="Arial">Member <P>Posts: 106<BR>From:Los Angeles, California, United States<BR>Registered: Jan 2002</FONT></td><TD><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Arial"><FONT SIZE="1" color="#001450" face="Arial">posted 06-10-2002 12:57 AM</FONT><HR>I'm not sure how I feel about adding Kung Fu; it seems like the same thing
every other movie does during scenes that take place in Hong Kong. I think
they should have JC use his augs more for espionage than for combat to keep the
movie from seeming too cliché. After all, I'm sure many, if not all of you,
will agree that the movie should be as unique and intelligent as the game.
That's not to say that I don't believe an action movie can be intelligent; The
Matrix is great proof that you can have the best of both worlds. I just think
it would be nice to have a sci-fi movie that focuses almost entirely on plot
and dialogue. Deus Ex has such a huge and complex plot that I would be very
willing to drop the action scenes to fit as much of it into the film as
possible.</FONT></td></tr><tr valign="top" bgcolor="#C0C8D0"><TD width=18% valign=top><FONT SIZE="2" face="Arial"><B>DeusExJew</B></font><BR><FONT SIZE="1" face="Arial">Member <P>Posts: 1145<BR>From:Halifax,NS,Canada<BR>Registered: Dec 2001</FONT></td><TD><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Arial"><FONT SIZE="1" color="#001450" face="Arial">posted 06-10-2002 03:13 AM</FONT><HR>Not going to happen i'm afraid FierceClaw.
