DX : IW doesn't launch on my PC

    Hello everyone.

Like more than the half of the forum, I've got a problem with my copy of Deus Ex Invisible War on PC. I've reinstalled it yesterday cause when I started the game, my game crashed at the load screen. But now, I'm unable to start the game. I double click on the icon on my desktop but nothing happens. My mouse cursor show that the game is loading but it doesn't start. I've tried différents things to fix the problem, like put the game in compatibility for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, etc. Change the screen resolution. I precise I live in France so I think I've the 1.2 version of the European copy. Because when I try to install the 1.2 patch, an error message appears. Whatever, I still can't start my game. With the AutoRun, I checked if my graphic card was compatible with the game, and it is appartently... I know this question has been posted a lot but I didn't find any issue to fix my problem, even SecuRom can't udpate my game, and the issue with "imagecfg" in the command doesn't work to. Months ago, I've resolved the problem by stopping the process of SetPoint.exe, but now it doesn't work this time. Too bad.

This is my configuration of my PC :

    System : Windows 7 Professionnal 32 bits
Graphic card : AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
    Processor : AMD Athlon II X4 645 (4 CPU) at 3,1 GHz
    RAM : 4 Go
    DirectX 11

If you need more informations to help me, just tell me. I really want to play this game again. And by the way, all my drivers are updated. I've writen to Square Enix to see if they can resolve my problem, but with the holidays I think I won't have any answer before the beginning of the new year. Sorry if my english is not very good, but I think it's understable ^^

    Thanks in advance !

The imagecfg doesn't work, honnestly I don't know how to use it. Have I to launch it by using cmd.exe or must I paste the folder I want to "modify" ? It's one of the last solutions I have. I checked the options "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable Desktop Composition" on the three executables. Well, I tried some solutions and none work. I even tried FlipTIB, which is a executable that can change le .exe of the game to be able to launch it with one or multi-cores, but it still doesn't work... Apparently it's not a core problem. Anyway, I hope you'll have a solution quickly. BTW, Square Enix answered to my email. They suggested to desactivate all the programs that could be active in background and would enter in conflict with the game to start correctly. With no surprise, it didn't work to.

I wrote to the Square Enix Support. Their first solution was to disable all the programs that run in the background to see if the game has a problem with a program, and naturally, it didn't work. Now they asked me to send them two files. "Msinfo" and "DxDiag" to take a look at my configuration etc. but I have to wait until the january 2nd because of the holidays. It's not much to me now. If anybody's got another solution, fix or something like that, I take. By the way, have a happy new year Holiday !

Even if nobody answers me, I give some news ^^
Square Enix can't open the Msinfo.nfo file, apparently it's corrupted. I tried twice, but nothing, they can't open the file. So they suggested me some stuffs.
They told me to update my graphic card, what I've already done, but whatever (because I didn't say it, but they could open my DxDiag file to see my configuration), I did. They said to start the game as an administrator, what I usually do, but it didn't work to. They told me to try to install the Redistribuable DirectX that is in _Commonredist folder which is in the game folder, but I don't find it. Is is DirectX 9.0 that make work the game ? And then, last solution (cause all the previous solutions don't work), they suggested to make a new user account on Windows 7 to try to install the game on it. I did, but now on this account W7 tell me that "dx2.exe has stopped working". I'm lost. When am I able to start this game ?
Thanks in advance for your help, I hope !

Nodoby can answer my question ? Please

Hello, is still there nobody to help me please ? I wait for a response from Square Enix Support since 3 days. They needed the files "DxDiag" and "Msinfo" updated to see if they can find another fix. I hope they will, I still want to play this game since so long !

Well, I FINALLY found something that work. I don't know if it's legal or not but now my game runs. There is just something, after the intro and when you created your character, a black screen appears, the game is leaved for a while but the game launchs again and works fine. But now, the framerate is horrible. If someone wants the fix, let me know.
