How is Champ Man: All-Stars different to other Champ Man titles?

Champ Man: All-Stars is played online with the majority of matches being played against other human players. Where numbered Champ Man games (2010, 14, 15 etc.) are about managing a real world club and progressing through set leagues and cups with it, Champ Man All-Stars is all about your own career, managing your dream team and ultimately seeing how you as a football manager stack up against others.

In All-Stars you are able to name your team and stadium and also choose it's colours and design it's kit and emblem/badge.

    Building your All-Star Team

As a manager, you are given a set amount of Transfer Funds at the start of your career with which you are then able to buy any of the thousands of players currently in the Champ Man database. You only have £100 million Transfer Funds to begin with though, so choose wisely who you would like to have in your team! Will you choose to buy a single expensive superstar and spend your remaining funds on cheap players or will you got for a more balanced approach?

While still playing the initial tutorial phase of the game you will be able to swap out and experiment with players in your squad without too much trouble, but the real challenge of managing an All-Star team begins once you finish the tutorial…

Why is Champ Man: All Stars online?

Champ Man: All-Stars is played exclusively online. This means that your profile, team and all matches are run and stored via our dedicated servers. Should you close Champ Man: All-Stars in the middle of a match, the match will continue running on our servers. Some scheduled matches may also be played in your absence. You are, however, able to re-join your team mid-match to continue managing it so don't worry about missing out.

Running the game online also means that you can swap between devices and continue where you left off if you've previously linked your Champ Man: All-Stars profile to Facebook. So you can continue with the same career when you get a new device or, for example, you could start a match on your way home on a bus or train and then continue playing the same match on your tablet once you're at home!

That being said, we do understand that some people would prefer to have a game that can be played exclusively offline, without the need to connect to servers. You will therefore be very happy to hear that we are currently ALSO developing Champ Man 16, the successor to Champ Man 15, and plan to release this later this year.

What are the different modes in Champ Man: All-Stars?

    All-Star Mode:
    • World Tour: Single Player only mode in which you play against AI teams from all over the world, visiting different regions and countries over the course of different stages.
      • Once the first stage of World Tour has been completed, further options open up:
        • More World Tour stages (vs AI)
        • League (vs other Players)
          • League matches are scheduled in advance and will be played even if you are not present.
        • Cup (vs other Players)
          • League matches are scheduled in advance and will be played even if you are not present.
        • Ranked (vs other Players)
          • Ranked acts as a ladder.
          • The top 32 players or a 'rank' within the ladder get invited into a special All-Star cup
          • Ranked matches are only played when you select them

    Survival Mode:
    • In Survival Mode you have three 'lives' to win as many matches as possible
    • You play against other people who are also currently in Survival Mode
    • Entering Survival Mode costs Stars but…
    • Each win results in big rewards in currency that will benefit you in All-Star Mode
    • You must manage a new team that you can build from a selection of 70+ rated footballers
    • As such, Survival Mode is a completely level playing field for all players
    • Your squad is locked down once it has been picked and cannot be trained or improved
    • Survival matches are only played when you select them to be played.

    Tournament:
    • In Tournament Mode you can join any open tournament at any time. Everyone in the tournament with you with given a certain amount of money and can use it to pick any team of footballers from the Champ Man database.
      • Entering Tournaments costs Stars
      • Depending on the size of the tournament pool, the tournament may include group stages, quarter-, semi- and regular finals
    • An eight person tournament should finish without an hour. Bigger tournament pools will take longer, with the biggest pools often taking a full evening to complete
    • Once you've joined a tournament, matches are scheduled in and played, even if you are not present

    Other FAQ:
    • Another player has the same footballer as me but their attributes are different!
      • Any footballer can be owned by any All-Stars player but as footballers are updated on our database regularly, it's possible that an All-Stars player might have purchased a footballer before/after you bought yours and we updated the footballers attributes on the database.
      • Furthermore, it's possible to train individual attributes for all players using Training Points, though this can only be done a limited amount of times per player (variable from player to player)
    • How does Selling Players work?
      • Footballers can either be sold immediately to the system or auctioned off to other players
      • You can sell footballers to the system immediately for about 80% of their worth
      • You can auction footballers to other players, with the opening bids starting at 90% of their worth.
      • Placing an auction listing costs three Transfer Tokens and cannot be undone.
    • What do the facilities do?
      • Stadium
        • Results in more Transfer Funds earned on match days
      • Pitch
        • Reduces chances that players will be injured during matches
      • Medical
        • Reduces time that it takes for players to recover from injury
      • Training
        • Increase the effectiveness of training
