Are square Enix really destroying a spectacular game like ff7 by completely changing the game play element of turn based strategy. I personally haven't purchased a single final fantasy game since they removed turn based combat from the franchise. You might as well change the game's name to Devil Has A Fantasy - the combat system is a hack and slash and the only thing that differentiates ff7 remake with devil may cry is shooting while slashing....
Honestly watching that game play trailer was painful...
It would be great if you had an option to pick your combat preference.

    Hello awesome people!

I must voice my thought process.... so I don't own a PS4 yet. I want to see if a special edition console will be released with the 1st ep of FFVII Remake. I don't know if I should just keep waiting until I see a bundled package on the forums or on social media. Being in Australia, some times it is a tad harder to obtain such special products.

Does anybody else think the same way as I? I will none the less buy the game and console, but would MUCH more prefer to buy a super special console!

    Thanks

    To Grimoire,

Can you please keep me updated on the special edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I don't want the incident with Final Fantasy xv ultimate edition to happen again. As soon as the special edition is announce, I'll preorder as soon as possible. I have the feeling that the greedy people will use this to make a big profit for themselves on eBay and stopping us fans from enjoying the game.

    Thank you.

I havent enjoyed a FF game since X. Im saddened to see what was once my favorite battle system that spanned over so many genre setting titles that its being turned yet again... into a hack and slash..... didnt like 12 didnt like 13 and now.... im not gonna be into XV.... One of the best RPGs of last generation was Lost Odyssey... Thanks for showing some game play.... I will not waste my money on this like I did the first XIII.... Thanks for the memories.... I will keep the FF i grew up with... rush home from school to play... counted the hours when i could get to my SNES PS and PS2.... Now on the good side.... I love what has been done to Tomb Raider...

I've been playing Final Fantasy games since the original on NES (which I still have, along with the original box, maps, and booklet). While FFIV is probably my favorite in the series, FFVII is a very close second. I bought the original Playstation simply so I could play the game. I've enjoyed how the Final Fantasy series has evolved over the years, with each new game adding something new and different, When the series moved to a more action-oriented gameplay, I was a little disappointed, but I adapted and even began to enjoy the new battle systems (yes, I even enjoyed the XIII games).

I was hoping that the remake of FFVII would include an option to retain the original battle system, but am not too put off by the fact that it won't. I've enjoyed the Dissidia games and highly enjoy the Kingdom Hearts series, so I should be able to easily adapt to this new system. Ever since Square Enix started doing remakes of Final Fantasy games, I've been waiting and hoping for them to redo FFVII. I'm not going to let a little thing like a change to a more action-oriented battle system ruin it for me.

For pretty much any existing FF7 fan, I can sum up this interview for you: "Don't worry, it's OK. I am not going to gut shoot you with a 9mm. I'm going to gut shoot you with a .44 magnum."

I'm desperate to know if Final Fantasy 7 remake planning to have special 20th anniversary next year on Jan 2017 for the FF7 remake skin edition on the console?
Also I got a brill thought for the PS VR by putting the Final Fantasy 7 characters eyes either original or remake graphic on the front of the VR set
