Watch the Unboxing of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Collector’s Edition

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided‘s release is a little over a week away, and if you’re curious to see what the game’s Collector’s Edition entails, then look no further.

Eidos Montreal has released this video, in which Game Director Jean-François Dugas himself unboxes the PlayStation 4 version.

Retailer Lists Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Day 1 Steelbook Edition

A retailer has now listed that you can get a Day 1 Steelbook Edition for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This edition also comes with a lot of other goodies.

Online retailer Mighty Ape listed this steelbook edition of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on its website recently. It comes with some new cool looking packaging that the standard edition doesn’t have. Other details of what it includes can be seen via link.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Deals Roundup

It’s not as easy as ‘take your pick’ but Deus Ex: Mankind Divided discounts are as high as 30% off this weekend. The deals vary depending on your platform of choice, with discounts for PC copy and gift cards for console versions. In a month where few other Triple-A titles are releasing, the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided pre-order deals are looking fairly strong.

Select digital retailers are aggressively discounting Mankind Divided this week. DLGamer is on their hustle with a 30% drop to $41.99. GMG isn’t far behind, where if you login or create a new account you’ll see a 25% drop to $44.99. The 25% off discount at GMG carries over to the Digital Deluxe, which brings the game down to $67.49.

The PC gaming offers above are all from authorized retailers and are Steam keys. Buying from them will also secure you the same pre-order bonus Square Enix is offering on Steam Store.

Console gamers have a slightly different story. The best offer is at Dell. There you’ll get a bonus $25 eGift Card when you buy either the Xbox One or PS4 version. The bonus won’t show up until the first stage of checkout (semi-hidden). That’s a bonus worth 42% of the value of the game and particular useful

    __

There are other ways to save on Deux Ex: Mankind Divided with a paid membership. You’ll need to be either an Amazon Prime member or a Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked member to unlock 20% off your Deus Ex pre-order. These discounts continue to work about 2 weeks after the game has released, but after the game’s launch you will miss out on the “Day One” pre-order edition.

    __

When you buy Deux Ex: Mankind Divided before its August 23rd release date, you’ll essentially receive the “Day One Edition.” This Edition includes a total of 8 pre-order bonuses, 4 of which are in-game goodies while 4 are digital extras expanding on the Deus Ex world.

The in-game pre-order bonuses include 3 custom skins and an extra in-game bonus mission. The skins are dubbed the Intruder, Enforcer, and Classic gear packs and bascially are just extras to fit the mood of your play-style (stealthy or shoot ’em up). The extra mission takes place in Prague and includes the descriptor “unveil the true culprit responsible for the bombing”.

Your digital pre-order bonuses are fairly straightforward and purely meant for you to enjoy Deus Ex lore and music. You’ll get a digital artbook, OST six tracks sampler, digital comic book, and a Novella about in-game characters. (Strangely we’re starting to see a trend where Square Enix pre-order bonuses only includes partial OST).

DX: Children's Crusade comic coming February 2016

We're pleased to announce the first issue of the new Deus Ex Universe comic series, entitled 'Children's Crusade'. Here is a quick synposis on it:

With society still reeling from the Aug Incident - the Illuminati orchestrated event which caused augmented individuals to mindlessly attack their 'natural' counterparts - anti-aug sentiment is at an all-time global high. Task Force 29 - an Interpol-funded coalition, created to quash the rising tide of terrorist activity - stands as the world's main defence against total anarchy.

In the city of Prague, where tension is especially high, the team's latest recruit, Adam Jensen, readies for his first mission with the unit. But being augmented himself, how will the former SWAT officer handle himself when faced with the grim reality of the mechanical apartheid?

This comic will be hitting store shelves in February 2016.
Check your local comic book store for availability details in your area, and be sure to give us your feedback on Facebook and Twitter!

Deus Ex on Twitter: "You asked for this: we are cancelling the "Augment your Pre-Order" program. Read all the details ...
At both Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal, we’ve been listening to everything you’ve had to say about the Augment Your Pre-Order program. When it was first conceived, we wanted the program to give you more choice about what you received in terms of pre-order incentives - because we've seen in the past that when we choose those packages ourselves, and split them across regions, it has caused frustration. We quickly noticed that this approach created even more frustration than before, resulting in a resounding amount of negative feedback.

We’ve spent a lot of time reading through all of your comments, working to understand how we can try to make things right for you. After much thought and reflection, we decided to close down the program and make all of the incentive content available to anyone who pre-orders Deus Ex: Mankind Divided or purchases a Day 1 edition of the game. Additionally, the release date will no longer be changed in accordance with pre-order numbers, and everyone will gain access to the game on February 23rd, 2016.

Your feedback and input is of the utmost importance to us-- as it’s your loyalty and passion for our franchises that gives us the opportunity to continue providing you with great gaming experiences.

To our faithful fans who’ve already pre-ordered: we will be taking care of everything necessary to ensure that all of the changes to the program will be automatically applied to your purchase. Meanwhile, we'd like to thank everybody for their feedback - we know this wouldn't have happened with a game that nobody cared about, and we're just focusing now on delivering a game that lives up to your hopes and expectations.

It’s rare nowadays to see physical marketing for video games such as billboards, commercials, or even posters, really. This changed when the people over at AugAware.org decided to warn the people of New York with posters depicting the safety of humans being compromised by augmented individuals. Of course, none of that is real because it’s all from the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, including the website provided (if you click on the link).

Eidos Montreal and Square Enix put up these posters both to promote this game as well as to allow fans to get secret wallpapers by photographing the QR code at the bottom of the posters.

I am normally very simple person. I ask HQ soundtracks, Concept Art books and that "1 surprise" which is my criteria for buying Collectors. Blizzard Entertainment added CDs, books, and card games to some of their games, Bethesda Soft added little maps and items from games. From this little new-thing I expect music as bare minimum. I know everyone nowadays is all so iTunes and other funky gadgets and phones now, but I like lossless formats ! Oh and something to put on my wall would be ace too.

And this is not as much of collectors thing, but general post scriptum... I want no interference from Steam. I am tired of cracking all my legal games so that Steam doesn't enforce itself to run on background like a virus.

Like a virus, really? It doesn't behave anything like a virus at all, that's just a BS comparison you made to make it seem like you weren't just complaining about absolutely nothing. There is zero chance of this game not requiring Steam, and unless you're running your games on a toaster, Steam isn't going to impact your ability to play whatsoever. If you have a shoddy Internet connection then you have something worth complaining about (your shoddy Internet connection, not Steam), but otherwise you're complaining just to complain, because it doesn't affect you at all.

If someone has a problematic internet connection, thus making him have trouble using steam, which would be the only way to get the game... then yes, steam IS the problem. Not everyone has the option to get proper internet, but companies can easily release a game without steam and steam can definitely create a super-lite version for those with internet trouble. Personally, I don't care if something is via steam or not, as I find it convenient. However, I know well too much about problematic internet.

Back on topic; I usually like it when we get some sort of sculpture with a collectors edition, interesting art books and other collectibles that are well designed. I do hope we don't get in-game starting bonuses or any extras that break the balance of the game, like in HR.

I used to hate Steam, but then I fell in love with it. Maybe if you're living in Siberia, I can understand the internet problems (if Siberia in fact has good internet connectivity, please PM me and I'll edit this post).

Personally I want a big art book and a more extensive soundtrack, the Augmented Edition last time had a nice compact cardboard case, but the art book was a bit pathetic!

A Deus Ex themed microfiber cloth for cleaning sunglasses would also be welcome. Perhaps with triangle patterns.

ABSOLUTELY. Anyone recall Remember Me? Me neither. But it did get a HUGE art book that I both downloaded and have on my shelf. And the DXHR soundtrack was a quick soundtrack but I want a full on rip of every single musical piece in the game, including the original DX music used as bumper music for that radio show. I want there to be a bunch of nice extras for a collector's edition that I can place on my shelf along with the rest of the DX games that I purchased physically. I want something unique like a pair of Jensen sunglasses or a holographic DX pattern. I would love to see something new instead of what everyone else does. And yes, I'll pay $120 for a really nice collector's edition. I bought all 3 Jensen coat variations from Musterbrands so I can't wait to buy something else DX branded. Oh, and a movie! A quick game engine produced movie would be awesome! Something telling us what Adam and Sarif and Malik (I hope he quit that lying b*tch ex wife of his and hooked up with Flygirl- I feel like a housewife watching soap operas for saying that) did in those 2 years... And Bob Page and his MJ-12 cabal, that would be neat too. GTA San Andreas had something like that, a 22 minute movie called The Introduction along with an extended soundtrack.

Musterbrand has Jensen's coat back in stock.
It previously sold for £159 but is currently showing a discounted price of £109.

    https://www.musterbrand.com/collections/deus-ex

The DX long-sleeved t-shirt is also at a sale price; reduced from £26 to £13.
    The Holes t-shirt is half-price at £11

    __

Also, I speculate that exclusive clothing for DX:MD might now be offered by Acronym

Adam's bespoke jacket is designed by technical apparel guru, Errolson Hugh.

Artbook ftw! I enjoy them no matter what game it is about.

As for the rest, some creative little collectibles (which aren't necessarily Jensen figurines) would be nice. Why stop with the cloth for sunglasses when they can add the sunglasses too?

Is any of the merch for the game going to be fashionable in any way this time around? The HR selection was embarrassing.

I just need to find my love for it, i suppose.

I have no problems downloading games. And I like Steam as concept. But I have my bane with this little application that likes to sit and run on background like little socialnetworking app. I just need to find my love towards it, but in past it has given me too much headache. Perhaps they have improved the app. enough and it lacks the problems that initially made me hate it, but it will take some time to get past negative emotions I've linked to it. And "play offline" option is not working as smooth as I'd like to. I.e. my Skyrim cannot be played offline ever since they sent me legendary version/update/patch/something over steam. Just little things, but eventually ending up irritating for me.

Anyway enough off-topic over something that was meant to be small and rather irrelevant comment.

And to say about topic, I have to admit i agree with you and your suggestions.

Almost all of it involved a black t-shirt with the Deus Ex name plastered on it. It all lacked in subtlety, to say the least. A wider variety of colors and designs that would only evoke Deus Ex in those who had played it (as opposed to outright telling you what it is from) would be nice.

I was given this when I visited EM a while back. Thought it was pretty fun and didn't cry out "I'm a DX fan".

It would take a little bit of time to recognize a fan in this. Subtle, I like it.

I'd be fine with a statue, poster, soundtrack (physical) and steelbook.

Can anyone visit EM and get a shirt?

I'm a friend of a friend of Eidos Montreal. Will they let me in?

Thanks for making this thread, looking forward to this being updated. Hope the CE doesnt suck with a statue, I hate statues!

Statues are the coolest thing that come with Collector's Editions. Everything else is either a soundtrack that you already have access to in game files or can download later, some kind of map/poster, or in-game items.

I can stalk them. Again. For the fifth time.
