Is LOK: Blood Omen a long game? How hard is it?

Depending on how much you want to explore and how much of the secrets you want to find, it can take anywhere from close to 40 hours, or upwards of 100 hours to complete. On PC, users have thankfully made patches that remove the load times between screens. Inherently in the game, every time you entered a new area, building, or even switched to your items, powers, and menu options, there would be a loading screen for a few seconds. Needless to say, that stretched the time taken to play the game and made the experience a bit jerky to endure. Without the load times, it's fluid and will probably take a little less time than the above estimates.

BO1 is about as hard as an old school NES, or Super NES Zelda game might be. I don't know if that explains it, but the combat is about rhythm in swinging the weapon before the enemy closes in and hits, and a lot of times about angles when avoiding projectiles. The dungeons are a bit maze-like, so it's challenging that way. Kain winds up having a huge, huge array of powers and items to use in combinations in battle. He has multiple weapons and armors he gains, and multiple forms he winds up taking. So, depending on how you want to play, you have options that way, too.

So, I suppose it's about medium in how hard it is.
