    What do ya guys think?...

...what am I supposed to be judging here?

    Oh yes

Show off a sweater with a title of a game that hasn't been released yet printed on it.

Annnd have some blonde chick wear the sweater because a fat, nerdy dude is so not hot.

Youdaft or what? According the Twitter page she's a "gameplay programmer on Deus Ex @Eidos Montreal". Let's hope she can program like a fat, nerdy dude though. Hotness is but a stepping stone to having a life. And that would be a very inappropriate thing to have for a DX-dev, wouldn't it. If you wanna make games, try to look fugly (because right now, you don't).

What do I think about what, exactly?

I think that the fact that this sweatshirt says "Deus Ex Universe Dev Team" is going to give even more people the impression that "Deus Ex Universe" is a game.
Speed up the accelerating returns, 'cause carbon doesn’t work, I want to evolve and operate at terahertz.

    This.

The lady pictured is Lauren Bleszinski, Wife of Cliff Blenszinski. So she is working for Square-Enix Montreal? No longer known as Eidos Montreal apparently it seems.
She specialises in animation it seems, so no need to be concerned about someone from EPIC messing up Deus Ex's design further. EPIC games, geniuses behind the Unreal Engine. Shame about their games, nothing noteworthy in years. Their engine programmers must be tired of pushing all that potential only to have it wasted on Gears of War and the like...or not, they are rolling in the money.

I think IDAFT should explain his/her intentions with this thread.

Wait...really? So this is the end of the line for "Eidos"? A sad day for me, though everything that name stood for died in 2007.

What are you talking about? Maybe the twitter-link at the end of IDAFTs' post skipped your attention but this is Marie Mejerwall, not Lauren Blezinski. Apprently she was envolved with programming the gameplay mechanics of Arkham Origins earlier.

Hmm, I missed this during my 5 minutes of reluctant research. She indeed better have the spirit of a basement dweller or what have you.

I'll never be good at coding, I'm not overweight

Then I'm talking rubbish. IDAFT sometimes.

Could be more rubbish, could be another studio.
It is past my bed time.

Disclaimer: the rubbish doesn't reflect my DX advancement capabilities, others can vouch for me. I exert everything I have there.

SE Montreal and Eidos Montreal are two separate entities and have been for a while, so no change here.

Anyway, NICE sweatshirt. I want one!!!

You are only minimally modified. Omar can help you correct this...

First thought: "Oh dear, the comments on this are going to be a series of terrible puns and / or awkwardly nerdy 'woahahaoaoah shes hot <3' messages". BUT I WAS WRONG. Congrats on being better than my (low) expectations, DXHR forumers!

Second thought: "I bet JJB has her on Facebook already."

Got that one right at least!

[EDIT] Also, to clarify, it's still Eidos Montreal working on Deus Ex stuff, not Square Enix Montreal.

I'm from one of the more notorious party schools in the country where there are at least 3-4 hot girls on each sidewalk square downtown -- the only reason why they come to this frozen tundra is for the alcohol. My tolerance level of geeking out over who's hot is abnormally high. Unfortunately, no one pretty is in my department (hell, the are barely any women at all), so that's a bummer :/.

She is cute, it doesn't really need to be said and is more irrelevant than my nonsensical ramblings last night. What is important is what impact she will have on the next DX by EM, and gameplay programmer is a pretty *** big deal.
Don't let us down now lady. Basement dweller mode, activate!

Show us a pic of the writers please. Bonus points if Sheldon Pacotti is in the picture.

    Thumbs Up

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, and for being respectful.
Please wait and see which impact I will have on the franchise before you "think" anything, and then judge me by that :-)

Oh and I'm not Lauren; she's the one to the right, I'm the one to the left.

Will do my best to get her into game development but as of now, she's not the one working on Deus Ex - I am.

OMG, all I wanted to show you guys, is someone that I'd found working on the next Deus Ex. And to be honest, there's hardly been any updates since it was last annouced. Jeez, if I'd knew it would have caused this much commotion, I wouldn't have posted it.

PS: Mejerwall, sounds like a nice lady!

    Two reasons you should continue!

    1) Had you shown a tweeted picture of a rock with DX Universe engraved on it, you would have caused a similar "commotion". Which reminds me, let's not use this word in vain. Reserve it for what will happen if jumping becomes contextual in the next game!

    2) Apparently, posting the picture of team members causes them to register and post. By all means, track down as many pics as you can!

    Mejerwall...is that Swedish?

    Welcome, by the by!

Great, we have a visual on our first target. Should we hold her for ransom or tickle her until she spills new info?

I see your candy bar-charged pheromones are activated, you must have stuffed a 4x8 grid's worth of candy bars and moved in a little hyperactive perhaps.
