Lightbulb [PC MOD] Hardcore Difficulty MOD

=== Deus Ex Human Revolution Hardcore Difficulty MOD ===

    Description:
The creation of this mod was inspired from HERE
Unfortunately the author of that mod has disappeared a long time ago and the files were deleted,so i decided to do my version. This mod intended to play on "Give me Deus Ex" Difficulty and NEW GAME required. The game was played several times to perfectly(in my opinion) balance changes.
On this screen is my last playthrough with mega stealthy Adam Jensen character,to show you which skills i had by the end of the game with this mod.

Little Recommendation aka veeeery optional :
When you start your first mission, drop your DLC presents from your inventory,And Thats All!

    This Mod Introduces :
    * By the end of the game, you will be more specialized type of a character than "Jack Of All Trades" character.
    * Radar Is Disabled(it will be on your screen as usual but will look like this.I have not found a way to disable it permanently or disable only icons). To Activate it again, you must spend praxis points in it.
    * High augmentations cost - see picture HERE
    * Very High Prices(weapons, weapon mods, consumables, ammo and ETC.) - see picture HERE and HERE
    * Slightly Increased merchants/limb clinic item stock(ammount of weapon mods still as in vanilla game,i didn't change that).
    * Slightly Changed stack of some items - See picture HERE
    * Slightly Changed Weapons Stats - see picture HERE

    Installation and Requirements:
Latest Game Version with Explosive Mission Pack + Tactical Enhancement Pack(if you don't have them ,then not a big deal, everything should be okay)The Missing Link Is Not necessary.

Extract patch0.000 from archive to your Deus Ex Human revolution game folder and replace existing file when promted (dont forget to make a backup).

    Compatibility:
This Mod compatible with latest game version v1.4.651
no bugs,no glitches and etc was seen.

    Download Links :

Deus Ex Hardcore Difficulty Mod v1.0 - FULL PACKAGE
Deus Ex Hardcore Difficulty Mod v1.0 - AUGMENTATIONS ONLY
Deus Ex Hardcore Difficulty Mod v1.0 - Prices,Items,Weapons Stats changes, stack changes and ETC ONLY
    USE ONLY ONE VERSION!!!

P.S Sorry About my grammar,English is not my native language. If you have any suggestions about mod then write me

You made everything super expensive except the totally broken stealth augmentation? I mean really. And what on earth is the point of making "run longer" more expensive? Aside from those two things, the numbers look pretty good. But we wouldn't need this at all if there was a rebalanced XP system, which would be much more actually difficult and much less arbitrarily so.
Speed up the accelerating returns, 'cause carbon doesn’t work, I want to evolve and operate at terahertz.

Stealth tree augmentations is kinda weird, like fifth leg for the dog.I Didn't find anything sooooo useful there in my all different playthroughs.
And About "Run Longer",i will think about it.

I Agree,it would be great,if there was a mod like XP REBALANCER or something, buuut without CK...
    Thanks for your opinion mate!

Yeah, it seems like solid work. Like you said though, without an SDK there's not much that people can do, which is really too bad. Hopefully the next game will come with one or at least be less broken.

Great mod! Although I'm not sure if I'd call it "hardcore". Just restores some balance to the game & in turn makes it more fun.

The new size of the proximity mines makes no sense at all to me when you compare it to the grenade size. 1 block for grenades, 4 for mines, both stack to the same value. What was the reasoning behind this? I see grenades as more effective than mines since they are more common and can just be thrown from range at the feet of the enemy easily for almost instantaneous effect, especially effective thrown into a group of enemies.

The new weapon mod caps are perfect, some more variety and a few restrictions where needed. Not sure about the shotgun dmg cap reduction though. For the double barreled shotgun I have no idea wh you would increase the rate of fire also. What a waste of rate of fire mods that would be.

Vendor prices give actual meaning to the in-game economy. Which is most definitely a good thing.

Some aug requirement values I do not agree with but any kind of small increase is good for most of the augs.

Radar off by default and requires activation, great.

Grenades are very effective if you are a RAMBO-JENSEN and Mines if you are SHADOW-JENSEN.Because every type of grenades(and if you are sitting in the shadows and nobody see you) triggers HOSTILE STATUS.Strange magic. With proximity mines everything is okay - only ALERTED STATUS.
Double barrel shotgun by default is very slow in my opinion,so i made it to be more responsive but not imba cheaty..From now,in game fully upgraded double barrel works like a charm."Rate of fire" mods will not be a waste.

Thank you very much for your kind words and sorry for my grammar!

Cool, I didn't know that about proximity mines. I see.

Rate of fire increase for the double barrel is pointless though. You can fire both barrels at the same time if you chose to do so. What makes it slow is the reload speed only.

No,its not pointless, even if you are shooting from both barrels.I Tested once more time to trust my eyes again.
    1)Fully upgraded RELOAD + SPEED
    2)Fully upgraded RELOAD ONLY,without SPEED
In First variant, double shot was faster than in second variant. You can see by your self in game .So everything is under control

Wink Deus ex Human Revolution Director's cut

Hi there i tested this mod for the vanilla deus ex (augments only) and i loved it its bloody awesome to have a more specialised Jensen. So i'm asking you could you please update this mod for the director's cut because that was piss easy IMO.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen (or happen easily, anyway). If you look at Gibbed's comments on his debug menu, the original just required hex editing some files, while the DC requires using a memory hook to modify the game on the fly. However, given that his mod adds the ability to drop in *.000 files, it's possible someone could update this to work with Gibbed's release (I did test using the default version above, but it simply crashed on launch).

Oh Damn, this is exactly like something I have been looking for. Hopefully someone will be able to update it to work with Directors cut.

The community for Deus ex games seems strong with many longtime fans, I hope future games on PC have steam workshop support so players can share their different adventures of Adam Jensen.

The problem is that Eidos Montreal decided didn't release a dev kit for the game. Steam Workshop itself is just a distribution platform for mods and not really necessary. The reasons for EM's decision are unknown but it has been said that the customized Crystal Dynamics engine used for DXHR not being built mod firendly enough played a major role in it. If they stick with it for future games, you probably shouldn't get your hopes up.

I don't get the videogame industries... i mean if you want to maximize the profit for your game, you should make it bigger and better. If they would release the SDK for deus ex this game would have many MANY more Fans because how big it would be. If this is not possible they should at least make a difficulty mod...JUST SAYN

That worked for skyrim, we all know someone who has over 200 mods and over 1000 hours of playtime, haha. Sure Deus Ex could be that next time, but last time the engine was so bad I dont think it woulda been possible haha. Skyrim uses steam workshop which is what made the game sell so well since DLC takes a long time to make, but modders who are bored can get it done faster so the game has tons of content.

The fact is, many game developers don't want this. In some cases, they will actively seek to discourage it. By making the game further developable by modders, they run the risk of damaging sales of future DLC or titles (at least, that's the theory). This is a large part of the reason why many games do not include an SKD or mod tools.

And let's face it: everything DXHR's Director's Cut does woul've been surpassed by dozens of mods from what I know.

Yeah but the vanilla game would be much more popular and would have a grand legacy of it's own.

    Okay if they can't...

... release an SDK for this game they should at least make something optional for hardcore gamers so we all become satisfied. Don't misunderstand me i bloody love this game ( This game and Dark souls are the best games of this generation IMO) but this game lacks challenge. Why adding a new game + mode if you can unlock all abilities? I just don't get it. A mod which would raise the augmentation cost would be the best of the best because if they would be more expensive, the new game + would make much more sense and therefore it would be much MUCH more fun playing this game in the second playthrough. I hope or i pray that someday someone makes a mod for the director's cut. I'll make sure that this thread will always be on the top

Hey guys, I'm guessing this doesn't work with the Director's Cut does it?

edit: Never mind, just read up a few posts. Are there any other similar mods for Director's Cut?

    Hello.

First many thanks for HC Mod for DX:Human Revolution.

Is it possible to modify radar option, could You tell me how to do it? Or make it as separate option?

I wanne to make radar lvl 1 option as in vanilla( 25 m,not turned off) or make radar 2 lvl range 25 from Your mod ( 50 m is to much and not really good visible).

    I suppose You don't play/intrest in DX:HR anymore.
If You could tell me how to do it (hex editor or how You exactly did it ) I'll be very gratefull.

    thanks in advance
