*Spoilers for SR2* Original Soul trapped in the reaver?

So Vorador forged the Reaver , Janos imbued it.Who was the first soul he used?(aka who or what is the wraithblade that became atached to Raziel)
This is the only thing i dont get in the storyline.

The ravenous, soul-devouring entity trapped in the blade was - and always had been - me.

It's a paradox. Raziel was the first and only being to become the wraith blade imprisoned in the wraith blade.

Yea...that i figured..but like u said.its kinda paradoxical becouse the soul reaver was forged before Raziel was even born..unless u look at time like its a whole(i mean everything hapening all at once..a philosophical aproach where there is no begning..then it might make sense).

The Reaver was never meant to be a soul-devouring blade. It was a blood-drinking blade prior to consuming Raziel. Note that Janos calls it "The Reaver", not "Soul Reaver". Note how in the SR2 "boss fight", it sucks out the blood of the Sarafan Inquisitors. Note how in Kain's levels of Defiance, Reaver sucks blood too.

Raziel travelled to the past and after killing his former, human self, was comsumed and imprisoned in the blood Reaver. I assume the time streamer then placed it in the cathedral for the younger Kain. Untill the 4th timeline.

So that would mean that there was no soul in the first reaver to begin with..only the magic witch Janos imbued it..witch when broke had a sipritual mainfestation(becouse of all the lifes it took maybe?)the wraithblade.
So its becouse Raziel bounded with the Wraithblade(chose him as its host maybe?)..that he got sucked in the physical reaver (witch wanted to complete itself by binding with the wraithbalde..as the 2 became 1..Raziel was just colateral damage destined to unite the 2..offcourse making it more powerfull by further imbueing it..as side dish).
That actualy makes alot more sense.

When the Reaver broke it had Raziel's soul in it. That was 500 years after when Raziel was imprisoned. You do some hopping around in time in SR2.

This thread contains some major spoilers, obviously, so I'm going to add a note to the thread title.

No. Wraithblade was always Raziel. Raziel's path is an unbreakable time loop.
Raziel travels to past, following Kain, ends up killing his human self, the Reaver blade consumes him and he becomes the Wraithblade. Then the newly-born Soul Reaver eventually ends up in Kain's hadns. When Soul Reaver attempts to devour its own soul, the Reaver blade breaks.

You said the "first reaver." Keep in mind there is only One reaver. Raziel is the first, last, and only soul to ever become one with the Reaver to make it the Soul Reaver.

When two reavers meet to alter history, they are always the same reaver, from different times. This paradox creates the "temporal bubble" to alter time itself. This paradox is what raziel feels as the wraith blade coils around the empty reaver. His soul, and the soul ajoined to the reaver (not trapped within) are both Raziels soul, creating the paradox to imprison Raziel within.

It is a paradox, so its very hard to make sense of. But that by its very definition is a paradox. But that is the answer.

It's okay for the future to help shape the past in this case, because time is a circle for Raziel and circles loop back around to inform themselves. That's why he and the blood reaver snap together like a pair of magnets destined for each other even though they're just meeting for the first time in SR2. Because, on some level, he and the blade "remember" each other already. (The whole circle in time already exists, even before us folks in linear time get to see it come full circle.) So, since history is already written, history sort of knows to nudge Raziel's soul into the blade because that's what's fated to happen. (There also could have been special magics put on the blade to recognize Raziel's soul when it came along, too. That we don't know for sure).

Here is a question, in the fourth time line, Raziel is spared fro the reaver at the end of SR2. Before that paradox, when Raziel was imprisoned by the blade, what happened to the wraith blade? Kain was killed in William's chapel and so we know the wraith blade was not dispersed into him.

Not shown. But this exact same curiosity has caused many people confusion over the years. The soul could have floated away into the ether to be eaten by some slaugh in spectral realm, Raziel's pro-vampire destiny going unfulfilled in that timeline??? He'd have given the slaugh indigestion though, because I think he's forever removed from the wheel, unable to return to it even after completing his timeloop journey. So if even Elder can't eat Raziel's soul what chance would a slaugh have? Raz's spirit would keep kicking away inside the slaugh's gut until it burst out like in an Aliens movie.

The Wraith Blade is none other than Raziel himself. As long as he is imprisoned within the blade, so too is The Wraith Blade. After Raziel kills Kain in William's Chapel, he goes through the exact same course as he does in the game, but at the end there's no one there to save him from The Reaver.

    Maybe this will help:
