^ I really don't like that song... couldn't even finish it... I guess it's just not my style. Too electronic... as soon as it got to the "Run for your life" part I stopped.

Skip to around 1:46, there's a really nice instrumental segment . I quite agree. I like it until the "run for your life" line, it's quite catchy, but that line is just so...forceful, almost screamed.

Just listened to that instrumental bit, and I agree, it's a really nice segment but it doesn't really have anything to do with the rest of the song so, idk, it's really weird. I was like "ok, this sounds nice" and then when the girl starts singing again, just forget it, I really dislike it. That whole modified voice just doesn't work for me. And I agree, the "run for your life" line is too screechy.

It's okay, not something I'd play often - definitely not on the level of I Shall Rise.

In other brainwaves, I have a theory (more like a wish)...
So you know how in the first trailer they showed Lara at the end of the film (presumably) in the pawn shop buying the dual pistols. Well this is obviously a homage to the preboot games and movies and obviously for the fans.
Well, since they've already spoiled that, surely they must have something else in the film? Something super amazing that no one would expect, right?
...So since this film has Richard left, right, centre, above and below, it would make sense to have a brief scene (or just a shot) of Amelia? There's two young Lara's been cast right (so one for before Amelia's death and one for after maybe?)
Who better to do that than Angie!?
I feel like it something that's been mentioned here a long time ago, and I know I would be amazed by it.
I know in theory it could be confusing for some people (idiots) seeing as she was the previous Lara, but thoughts?

Amelia won't appear in this movie, because for an inexplicable reason the writers or director decided to go with the name Lindsey for Lara's mother . Lindsey! Like, whyyyyy? Was she a cashier at Tesco? (*Terrible stereotyping) Unless they've photoshopped over the memorial plaque with Amelia. They changed the word Sir for Lord on Richard's.

Anyhoo, for your wish, it would be odd if they don't even mention her, but I don't see her making an appearance, even in a flashback. I suppose it's highly possible they could include a photo of her. In which case having AJ pose for that could be a possibility, but I doubt it. Would AJ even be willing to associate herself with Tomb Raider again, even for a tiny cameo?

For all the people who said Vikander is too scrawny for the role:

BTW, anyone else get kinda annoyed by the fact that Goggins kept pronouncing her Laura in the latest trailer? They showed it before The Strangers: Prey at Night last weekend at my cinema, I remember uttering "it's Lara" at the screen when it played. It's kinda an important detail.

Awh man! The film was so good!!! All these bad reviews have no real complaints, they're grasping at nothing to make a damn good film look bad.

Put it this way - The only complaints me and my friend had were that on 2 occasions the mud on her face disappeared between shots
And then... (not sure if it's really a spoiler)

Best part of the film for me was...

I was actually surfing in search of specific image from the movie and had no luck which is actually why I chose to join a forum. I'm a little late to any discussion and since this is the first post in ages on the topic I'm guessing the film wasn't well thought of here.

I saw it on the cinema release and I loved it. Throughly enjoyable action adventure with great actors and Walton Goggins villain was a lot different to most bad guys in movies of this genre - his motivations and goals in wanting to get back home to his children
. The twist was fairly predictable but at least it kept me guessing which of the two established, respected thespians were the big bad as did the fact that overtime I expected the reveal it never happened until the very end and it was left for a sequel.
I had hoped to be able to bring my niece and was regretting not doing so when watching myself but yes that first kill was brutal and they made Lara feel it. I think the disease sequences might be okay for my niece but the first kill scene puts the film beyond her age. It is a shame because Vikander gives us a good female role model but for me personally I'm glad to have an action film where a hero is unaffected by killing - this is something I think is missing in the James Bond film after Casino Royale. 007 was affected by his first few kills in that film and while he has to get cold about the task I think it could have happened slower over the course of the following movies.
I really hope this film gets a sequel. It is being called a "flop" but since when is $270 plus over a budget of 94 million a flop?

I don't read or listen reviews but I did see one headline calling her some variation on a "Mary Sue" - that she was "too perfect a hero". This was ridiculous as the character made quite a few mistakes and barely survived most of the fights. In fact Lu Ren actually had to save her in the end. She just about held her own and Vikander portrayed her as a hero in the making.
As to the reason I'm hear. After watching the movie I bought the soundtrack on iTunes but today I decided to make my own cover art for it. I much prefer the image on the Art & Making of book by Titan.

Does anyone know where I can get that photo with the text or even a different version where I can crop the text? The used to be easy until Google relented to pressure to limit image searching.
