What do you think the Inception game will be like?

An FPS or TPS? Maybe not even a shooter? Discuss.

    "I already did."

I'd imagine a third person action/adventure/shooter/puzzle solving game.

    It's fairly old news.

If Nolan is involved in any way, hopefully it will be good. As long as they don't rush it and just cash it in, but Nolan's been on board with doing it for a while, so that's promising.

Seeing as it will be a separate story than that of the film and not tied to a DVD/Blu-ray release, it should be good. They need to have Chris write the games story or even direct the cutscenes or it will fail.

Licensed movie tie in games are rarely worth bothering with.

Depends. We've gotten good ones in Spiderman 1 and 2 on the last gen systems, or licensed games for older movies, like Ghostbusters and recently Back to the Future that are proving to yield very good results. But, yes, most movie specific tie-in games are rushed to come out around the time of the movie, are hampered to be too tied to the script, etc. They do wind up falling short. However, this game isn't cashing in right as the movie comes out, will have time to develop, and Nolan is fully wanting to see it happen. This tells me that the story and the care for the game will be there, as well as giving it time to develop. So, it should be decent, at the very least.

As to Nolan directing cinematics: I'd love it if helped write/approved the story for the game, but I actually think that the directing of it should be left to the game director, who could certainly be like Snyder is for the Superman reboot: someone that is simpatico with Nolan's vision However, when it comes to directing, too many cooks in the kitchen rarely ever make a good cake.
