So uh, who else is getting Two Worlds 2 and or Dead Space 2?

I honestly don't know. Depends on the content.

It'll probably be Dead Space's version of Minerva's Den ...

So you've tried Minerva's Den after all? I told you it was better than the main game, didn't I?

Cave man told you no Minerva's Den , you no listen , cave man ignored , hates being ignored , neck hurts , lady no kiss on neck long time , sad face ...

    Science is fun ...

Dead Space borrows without asking a lot from both BioShock & Resident Evil.

But it's the core story that attracts me, personally.

Mah friend Sinclair has stopped shipping drinks to Frolic ...
And uncle Ryan has promised me that i can have a little sister of mah own ...
    Waaaaaaaaaaah ...

*meanwhile , on the other side of Grievous' broken brain* ...

The story of Dead Space fails to impress me for some reason ...
It's as if they want to make a 'big deal' out of something , and then when you discover the truth , well ... is that it ? ...

I wouldn't mind if it was merely treated as a backstory , but the way it is told is like if it's "Important yo!" and nearly flying through my face ...

Note that I'm talking about the first game ...
The sequel looks to have taken a dose of pretentiousness ... we'll see ...

I think the marker thing is funny. And the cult of unitology reminds me of that other Tom Cruise cult

I think it wasn't suppose to remind us of anything other than that ...

Oh , wait , or are you talking about the Eyes Wide Shut one ? ...

Then again what's the difference ...

Dead Space is one of those game series that doesn't just stop with games, but has a book prequel, 3 comic-book prequels, one Wii & now PS3 Prequel, and 2 movie prequels.

Other than one of the movies and comics I've experienced them all, so maybe the Dead Space story is a little more enjoyable for me.

To anwser your question Grievous the original Marker, which was Black, was an Alien Artifact, built yes by Aliens of unknown origin.

The Marker you destroy in Dead Space and Dead Space 2 is Man-Made, by reverse-engineering the rune symbols from the original Marker with recombinant DNA and. . .

I will say this, I, who read the Novel prequel which describes how the whole story began, still do not fully understand how the fuck the Marker works and how Necromorph's are created exactly, it's confusing yes.

But there was an original Alien Made Marker and all the following ones are copies of the original, but each one still has the power to create Necromorph outbreaks.

The Unitologist Cult is actually one of my favorite things about the Dead Space universe, they all boast about the goodness of it and equality and all that crap but deep down they're all insanse back-stabbers and betrayers, seriously, Unitologists CANNOT be trusted, it's become a element to any story in Dead Space. Just like having to destroy a Marker and escaping.

They obviously want Dead Space to be the next big thing, hence the prequels and sequels and movies and breakfast cereals with Necromorph urine.

Apparently they're planning a Film Adaptation of the original Dead Space.

    No, just, no.

How do you make a movie with a Silent Protagonist?

Is it going to start a series of Horror movies like the obviously Academy Award worthy Resident Evil film series?

God I hope they get Marky-Mark to play Isaac, then I can die laughing and crying at the same time.

EDIT: I will say this, they have a much better chance of getting that movie made then they do the Kane & Lynch movie, Dead Space was a huge critical and financial success unlike the precious Dead Men.

Also since the Black marker WAS alien made, what was the purpose of it? Why was it made? And honestly i do hope the virus truly gets out of hand, everywhere you go the virus is there. And i hope the true makers of the marker become in the game atleast in the same position as the Humans trying to fight back but losing very very quickly.

And the Necromorph virus, does dead flesh have to touch the marker to mutate or does the Marke secrete some liquid/virus?!

Does the hallucinations affect animals by any chance?

Anyone got Two worlds yet? I saw it in game and looks decent i guess.

Dead Space 2 had a kickass horror atmoshpere, Horror IS NOT just about scares. I to hope that the virus/outbreak does not carry on like Resident Evil with the same damn protagonists throwing themselves into those situations. I have Two Worlds 2 and think that it is most badass seeing as how I can spawn AI and wage massive battles, but it is also a good RPG.

That is what i mean, it had to many jumps, not enough atmosphere, this is my opinion. Too much action, waaay too much near the end... 3 *** floors of super Necromorphs, no ammo, no health and then a bloody brute pops up to say hi.

And i thought Necromorphs are created from dead bodies and not living ones? Poor Franco...i can watch that scene over and over again, look seeing the skin come of his face and watching his eyeballs pop out and worms sticking out.

So Two Worlds 2 isnt like they say in the reviews?

I agree, this is bull. Let me remind you again: I played on Zealot from the start. The last few chapters were absolute balls to get through. I hate when they throw waves and waves of ennemies at you just for the hell of it.

The term 'necromorph' roughly means: dead (necro) organism (morph). So yup, they screwed up at the very beginning of the game.

The transformation process kills the Host then reanimates its corpse.

No one could live through having that sticker shoved through their skull.

So when the infector attacked Franco it killed him and simotaneously infected him.

And Jack, when you play on Zealot mode you shouldn't expect it to not be Hard to get through.

And Bevacur, if you played the whole game then you should know Franco's a filthy back-stabbing Unitologist, he deserved what the infector did to him.

Who said they got Two Worlds 2? Was it any good, I need a new Oblivion and Morrowind can't cut it.

It is heavily hinted. And yeah good point, he was in the end killed by a infector. Anyone else in awe when Franco got smoked?

I cba to complete DS 2, because 'you know what' rendered it impossible to save without being butchered. And i know what happens.

Started new game on zealot. Then repeat what i did for Dead Space, complete it on nightmare 5 times.

Im guessing the wave after wave was just to make players struggle. I would prefer a good boss.....

Franco being a Unitologist? If so it isn't hinted at, it's a fact.

1.) He's Dana's brother and his assignment was to break Isaac out of the infirmary and escort him to Dana & her associates (who are all Unitologists) so that they could use the Marker imprints in Isaac's memory to build (more) Markers.

2.) I don't know what Extra Content you may or may not have gotten, but if you unlocked the Conduit Rooms you will find an Audio Log from Franco in each one, documenting his mission progress. At the end of the tape located in the conduit room closest to the infirmary, Franco says "Altman Be Praised". Michael Altman, I'm sure you know,

He's Dana's brother? He is black though! Don't tell me they pulled a Grievous in the future!

I played the hacking dlc, gave up on the first go and just watched the cartoon. I never all of the node doors, only like 3 when i was really desperate. On the wikia you see Sarah's true fate.

How did Isaac and Stross build the marker? Did Tiederman take tidbits of info from the two and start from there or were they both under the influence of the marker for 3 years?

That's fekking bullshit again! The fact that they've locked rooms, with bloody audio logs, in the main game because one didn't buy and play their shitty hacking arcade game.
