    PC shuts itself down

i have the problem, that every time i want to play thief, my pc completely shuts itself down.
this occours in the main menu so i have not played the game a single minute yet.

at first i thougt it was because of my new radeon r9 290,that maybe my powersupply
wasn´t enough (630 W be quiet) because i have to turn of my powersupply and turn it back on in order for my pc to start again, but i don´t have any problems in any other game or benchmark tests...

i tried every resolution, every possible graphic settings but the problem is always there...

    here´s my system:

    CPU: AMD Phenom 2 X6 1055t 2,8 Ghz
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 290 OC Windforce
    Mainboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme 3
    RAM: Corsair XMS3 12 GB
    HDD: 2x Samsung 640GB SATA
Optical Drive: 1x LG DVD burner SATA
Power: Be Quiet Pure Power L7 630W (as mentioned above, this should be enough to power up my system???)

Overheating - the most likely reason. Try to open the box and use a big fan to blow directly to the processor. Or make the air conditioner on 15C or less.

Have you cleared the PC of dust? Clean it!

I chuckled. My old PC is thick with dust.
I played on my bf's rig... so I didn't have to clean mine lol.
Joking... kind of. I hate any form of housework.

    Hi everyone,

This issue was also posted on Steam, where it was resolved. In the end the user's power supply was failing. The purchase of a new one resolved the issue.
