Hi old chaps (and chappettes)!

I was just posting to ask, in complete bafflement, as to why this community is so tiny right now? I understand that this isn't a bloody shoot-em-up game, but once I managed to actually find a shred of information about it, I was hooked! Hitman is back, in cute, miniature form!

I'm going to do everything I can now to spread the word and gather a bunch of fans. I hope everyone else is doing the same? ;)

Great work with the game so far, it seems, IO! Keep it up!

I'm not really sure either, but I have already been spreading the word about this game! I'm new to these forums and I hope that my ramblings spark some sort of coversation. Somewhere. Haha.

All my friends hear me talking about this game daily and I know once I get it they will too. ;)

It's happened before. I'll keep raving to everyone who plays online with me as well.

Well I have this (http://lh3.ggpht.com/_FTP-a6eMUGg/Siy_c89r4hI/AAAAAAAAALc/LDz5s5qyQoY/s800/Hiro_wallpaper.jpg) as my wallpaper (thanks Acid Burn) and I've forced all the people who sit anywhere near me at work to watch all the trailers, so I've done my bit :naughty:

It's because the game isn't so popular, no magazine reviews, etc. It's hard to find.

The reception the game has had so far from the previews I've read have been overall very positive. It's unrealistic to think that a new IP would have the same expectation and media presence as an established franchise.

When the game turns into a raging success and Hiro is Eidos and IOI's new de facto mascot we'll be able to pat each other on the back and say we knew them back before the fame went to their heads. :naughty:

In the meantime here's some PSP wallpapers I found:

I understand you point Radar Trap but Rexie is ultimately right. I will take Eurogamers "Mini Ninjas" page as an example. What do you see when visiting it:

http://www.eurogamer.net/game/mini-ninjas-pc

1 news article, 8 screenshots and 2 videos. Most of the stuff on it is very old, and I can safely say that the second (most recent) video was only added recently even though it was released back in May and even when it was added it was not announced on their frontpage (like they do with other games). Also when the game has had previews from the likes of IGN they haven't shown the previews on the frontpage, expecting gamers to go around searching it for themselves which doesn't sound like they're asking a lot but this is a new I.P. and IOI's newest game since 2007.

This game badly needs attention left right and centre and its IOI's job to make sure it gets the media and attention it truly deserves even if that means e-mailing games sites and asking them to add in new media and announcing it on their frontpage like they should be doing anyway. If this game fails, which would be a shame, then they have no-one to blame but their selves.

Certainly more exposure would lead to more sales. I don't really recall every seeing much hype before the release of any Eidos or IOI games. :( I'm not even sure who would be responsible for marketing out of the two. It would also be interesting to hear whether the Square Enix takeover is going to have any impact and if so, is it a good impact?

This is the first game of IOI's that hasn't been promoted well. Hitman has always had good promotion and sold well, Kane & Lynch had a lot of money put into its marketing campaign (I think the figure was over £1 million) and to now go and under-promote Mini Ninjas is a real shame. Also, as another example, yesterday I went onto GameSpot and searched Mini Ninjas and found an interview with new footage! Its a shame that this was not even shown on the frontpage or even on their E3 updates as I was following their updates via Twitter for E3 and there was not one mention of Mini Ninjas there. Disgusting.

Actually, there's a lot of promotion coming. We're releasing a lot more assets and there are lots of initiatives getting greased up and ready for action... Okay, maybe not greased up, but you get the idea. Mini Ninjas will be promoted as well as any other IOI game before it - but it will be targeted slightly differently in some cases.

If you feel that your favorite game sites don't publish enough about the game, I encourage you to write them and tell them that you want to know more!

Its good to see theres a lot of promotion coming but I just hope it isn't too late. :o And shouldn't you guys at Eidos and IOI be e-mailing these sites and telling them to show a bit more and on the front page preferably? You'd be surprised how quick they'll react to publishers/developers request and how blatantly they ignore any random individuals concerns.

The PR guys and girls are working as hard as they can but we're not in the habit of telling editors what to place where. We give them access and tell them how great the game is, show them things and let them play the early versions and if they find the game to be interesting enough, they give it exposure. That's more or less how that works.

In addition, we'll be doing a lot of promotions in various locations and I'll let you guys know more about that when I have the information to share.

Good stuff Nick! :D

Now you should start working on the movie rights - Hiro could totally kick Frodo's butt in a fistfight!

Yeah, Frodo's a wimp compared to Hiro for sure.

I just heard about this game while watching the Eidos coverage at E3. I watched all of the videos and I have to say this is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated games of the year. I can't wait to hear more and I'll be telling everyone I know to check this game out.
