Hallo from greece!i need to upgrate my card to be able to enjoy TRU!my old MSI FX-5900ZT was ok for Legend and Anniversary but not any more!

My main and serious problem is that i want the new card,to be able to support also my old PRECIOUS TOMB RAIDERS [1 to 4 and tomb raider level editor]!

Do you know please if there is some cards who can have some 'conflicts: to the old ones??

Does any have have already test the new TRU and the old games in his system???

Sorry for my english, and the dumb question but i am in agony!!!

video card influences game's graphics and performance, I recommend nvidia geforce gtx 200 series for TRU

compatibility on the other hand depends on the operation system, but there are always patches or runarounds which would allow you to play older titles on xp or vista

when you upgrade your pc make sure that your motherboard will support new components, consider good power supply and spacious tower, read system requirements for new hardware as well

Unfortunately i can't dpend so much money for a card, plus i don't play so many games!only TRU is interesting me for now!
Is there any cheaper card good enough for tru???

Thanks in advance!

I noticed goranagar the moderator of the forum uses an 8800gs.

I wouldn't go any lower than the 8800 series in nvidia cards for underworld, don't know much about ati.

Also you could look at secondhand, Theirs a thriving secondhand market in graphics cards because people keep upgrading them.

Thank you my friend for your answer!i notice that eidos gave a list of cards such as
Graphic cards (taken from readme included with demo)
Cards which should be able to play without issue
ATI – Radeon X1800, Radeon X1900, Radeon X1950, Radeon HD2600/2900 series, Radeon HD3650/3850 Series, Radeon HD 4670/4850 series
nVidia – GeForce 6800 Ultra, GeForce 7600 GT, GeForce 7900 GTX, GeForce 7950, GeForce 8600 GTS, GeForce 8800, GeForce 9600 GT, GeForce 9800 GTX, GeForce GTX 2xx

Graphic Cards which may function but performance may be reduced.
ATI – Radeon X1300, Radeon X1500, HD 2300/2400, HD4550
nVidia – GeForce 6200, GeForce 6600, GeForce 7300, GeForce 8300, GeForce 8400, GeForce 8500, GeForce 9400/9500

So i will try some which can fit to my wallet!
I always try to buy the "cheapest of the good ones",because i play only a few new games!

Meanwhile i will try some more Tomb Raider Custom Levels, until Christmas!
