I saw the windows live logo there. Does that mean the PC version will use windows live as the game server provider?

Good thing is that windows live will be more stable than .... And also PC and Xbox players can join together. Bad thing is that do we need pay extra $$$ for the on-line gaming? :nut:

Curious ....

Being a windows live game might mean better servers for the PC, but then again it might not. Its still up to Eidos whether there is a server system or whether the matches are player hosted, and if servers were decided on then Eidos can still choose which servers to use. Eidos has confirmed there will be no crossplatform multiplayer, so no news there. And yes, you would need to pay for a gold live acount to play online, though I don't know if you could play online for free with windows XP, assuming XP is supported .

Innovative Online Multi-player Battles: Huge multi-unit battles for up to eight players (four on each side) on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live. The largest battle involves over 100 units. And five all-new online gameplay modes: Island capture, Duel, Siege, Escort, and Competitive.

Really? IF it is free, that would be great. But according to the wiki, you must have golden membership for mulilplayer games.

I can't image buy a golden membership for this game only. At least in XBOX live, it can be used for other games. Let's wait and see

If this is going to be a pay to play on multiplayer, gees. Im just going to use the hamachi way. I dont think the windows live can mess with LAN games.

Just a heads up on Windows Live. It is now free.

Microsoft's struggling Games For Windows Live service, which promised an Xbox Live like online experience with voice chat, unified friend lists, and cross-platform play between PC and console, is about to shrug off its chief criticism: cost. MS announced today that it is ending the XBL-style tiered pricing structure – which put a year of Gold membership at $49.99 – and making the service free for all users.

Man the PC players will be in for a real treat if this game is cross platform with 360 players. You will never have to worry about a lack of players.

However this is probably one game (if cross platform) that the people using controllers would actually have a advantage. My only worry is that I know a lot of PC guys don't use mics. My hope is they will end up buying one because I know for a fact a lot of people in 360 servers kick anyone without a mic straight out of the room because people who don't communicate really just kill the team.

Unfortunately, they've already said it's not.
