Could these games and series be our future. Would it possibly happen say someone take this game seriously and try and make it happen. I know it sounds impossible , but never think the impossible is not possible. Right? I mean i dont think it would all to bad for this to be our future without all the war. Making the perfect human is just GREAT! We could make the perfect human race.

Well, nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology are fields which already exist and are making remarkable progress. However, the extent to which they would be applicable in making a "super soldier" is unknown to me - I haven't read too much into it. But I don't doubt that we will try. I suspect that we will be able to come up with a lot of incredible applications in the future, though anything Deus Ex style would most likely be beyond our lifetime. And it wouldn't be a "switch on, switch off" effect, either. Of course, applying nanotechnology to exoskeletons and other things external will be very likely and perhaps not too far off. So probably we can achieve Deus Ex feats without having any direct changes to the physical body. I recall reading something along those lines on HowStuffWorks years back - so the US government is working on it. But yeah, as for bionanotech; I suspect not for a long time yet, and even then probably not *quite* at a DX scale.

Anyway, after typing that up, I figured I'd throw it into google...

http://www.nature.com/news/2007/070319/full/news070319-7.html - not a full article; but tells us what we need to know. Some of the vision augmentations, maybe?
http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/feb2007/gb20070205_756540.htm - this is an exoskeleton type thing, but still very interesting
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/10/071017094047.htm - if this could be automated to work on a full-body scale; you'd be looking at regeneration
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/03_30/b3843083.htm - another exoskeleton type one, but also talks about a Cloak type feature etc

Not much on bionanotech in a human body helping with strength and stuff, but still a lot of other interesting tidbits.

Thanks im doing my own research. My father does extensive Lab work on these things. He works @ Digispur Genetics. Highly classified. He lets me look on at things and im just so obssesed with these games. My dads work is what got me into these games.

This looks like Gundam seed, the "coordinators" were humans with genetics transformation that make them better than a human without these modifications. we can see some problems close to DX with nano augmented agents
