With many games featuring the elements that we fans have come to associate with Deus Ex, its probably gonna be much more difficult for DX3 to stand out when its released.

I've heard a lot about the Fallout series but never played any of them. While Fallout series started off as an RPG it has more of shooter elements incorporated into it in Fallout 3 wheras DX is a shooter with RPG/adventure/stealth elements added. I came across this Fallout 3 FAQ (http://www.nma-fallout.com/article.php?id=37329) and found it very interesting. I like how things like appearance and skill selection are made as a part of the game to improve immersion. Non-linear gameplay is a also a main focus of this game and apparantly it has 9-12 endings but this wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_3) says there can be as many as 500 permuations of the endings. Probably minor variations of the main endings in order to improve immersion by being consistent with the choices you have made in the game. The number of endings can be restricted by the universe in which the game is set in so there is no point in comparing directly—but its interesting to see more games like this.

I hope the HUD in DX3 will be more immersive and the game will be more non-linear compared to the original.

I just hope there won't be any HUD (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=74584) on DX3.
