View Full Version : Lara in the alien world of Nibiru (Planet X)

I know that Lara has a path set for here by CD for the next tomb raider, maybe even for the tomb raider after that, but I've had I think a great idea for a new Tomb Raider setting.

I don't know how many of you have heard of this 10th planet of our solar system, to be honest I've only just learnt about this recently.

For those who have no idea of what I'm talking about, I suggest you use youtube and search for the following Nibiru, planet X, 2012.

This is a link that I thought was quite interesting, about the human evolution and Nibiru

I just thought it will be cool for Lara and us to go and explore the ancient civilization of the Anunnaki, which apparently with there advance genetic knowledge they created the human civilization.

**** Warning I don’t want to discuss whether Nibiru is real or if the end of the world is coming.

I just thought it would be a great idea for a future Tomb Raider.

The idea of going to a new world or even the past even would be great.
But how is she going to get there, if the world will end when the planet comes close.

Well Tomb Raider is fiction so anything can happen. :D Hope then end dosen't come before we get the game.    :lmao:

I think getting her there would be a simple matter of storytelling.

Maybe an innovative and mega-wealthy entrepreneur like the S.R. Hadden character in "Contact"...contacts Lara and tells her about this new spacecraft and new propulsion system he's built, and wouldn't she like to be the first one to take it for a spin...?

Maybe add in the lure of priceless alien artifacts to be gathered on Nibiru - or Varuna or wherever - like the treasure-hunt in Pohl's classic "Gateway," and you've got a worthy TR location that's unlike anything she's encountered before.

Putting Lara in space ("Laura In Space (http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000006FBT002005/ref=mu_sam_wma_002_005)," trippy tune!) would be a risk, but if what she found there was an extensive, full-blown alien ruin environment, it not only could fit the TR tradition nicely, but could be an instant-classic. Hey, maybe Fripp and the Crimson boys would grant a couple of "Space Groove" tunes for the soundtrack! (Yeah right - the guy who's famous for getting pissed about cameras at concerts...)

Damn! Now you've got me thinking...

Yeah well they say there is an civilization on ther planet that is more ancient than ours, and much more advanced. So I guess there probably be some very cool tombs to explore.
As far as getting Lara there, well that could be a whole episode in its self.
