One interesting fact gleaned from this interview (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3164708) is that Ian Livingstone is involved in the new game. I guess he's mostly unknown outside of the UK, but he was an author and entrepreneur in the RPG 'industry' for over 30 years.

This wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Livingstone) summarises his background pretty well. I have to say that this makes me a little less nervous about DX3, because the project needs guidance to keep it from becoming an arcade game, and the more people with experience of RPGs and immersive storytelling who are involved, the better.

this is good news I suppose, so long as DX doesn't get lost in rolling virtual dice to see if you hit. It has RPG elements sure, but they DO differ pretty greatly from a full fledged RPG, and my only concern is that this person understands that. perhaps they do.

Why not trying to get the support of History, Law, Philosophy professors and scientists? They'd have much (more?) to bring and could accept. I mean the best places to find true brains on those subjects are colleges/universities.
