View Full Version : Nosgoth Forum Theme

I use a relatively large screen (well, a 32" TV) and websites with strong color themes (like orange, red and black) hurt my eyes after 5 minutes of viewing. The Nosgoth forums also use a lot of black and orange so I get really tired while trying to read it. It hasn't been more than 10 minutes that I've been on this site and I've already stopped trying to focus on text.

Is it possible to change it to another theme? Square Enix forums' theme looks like a good enough option, but even though that theme is selected in the forum settings page, I get this dark theme when I navigate into Nosgoth sub-forums.

@xocotl (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/member.php?u=29275): Okay we've enabled skin selection within the Nosgoth forum tree. Go to your forum settings (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/profile.php?do=editoptions) and select "Square Enix" as your preferred skin, and you should be able to see it here now, too :)

@everyone else: if you happen to have the white SE skin selected in your forum settings as your default skin previously and you are now not seeing the Nosgoth skin here anymore and would like to revert this, just simply follow this link (http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/profile.php?do=editoptions&styleid=10) and click "save changes" at the bottom of the page.

Thanks a lot! I prefer the dark one tbh, white is too hard on my eyes, especially at night :D

On the subject of themes, as a suggestion:

why not design and add 2 faction based themes, one human and the other vampire based? Also maybe add some sort of mini-mask (human or vamp again) symbol near a person's forum nickname

I know it would take work and effort and it is something to be done maybe during open beta or later, but I think it would be cool, as you can show off your preferred "allegiance" and it would inspire more fun rivalry, which is a good thing for a pvp game :)

EDIT: perhaps I should make a thread based on this idea? hmmm

*gets on knees as well* QuicK! Offer a blood and soul sacrifice!

I really think this idea has merit to it, because what better to ignite the flames of war (pvp) than good old rivalry and the desire to show off that your preferred faction is better? :)

Not necessarily. You can have multiple images inside your sig. Just as long as everything fits in this space:

Ah awesome, didn't realise I could have multiple images, always assumed it had to be one
Thanks again :)

Heh. Well, even if the rule was 1 single image, you could've still put multiple images in your sig by using PNG transparency to keep it all contained in 1 single image.

For example, this is the sig I'm currently having on the Eidos Forums:
