Lovely pics, good work! :)

If you are interested in the ingame models from TR1-4, TRViewer by evpopov can export models from those games as 3DS objects, I think.

that model is only for a 3d XML viewer application , dont think you can do anything with it like animate unless you can convert formats .

That 3DS Max Lara model has 8189 polygons, which is about the average model resolution used in real time 3D games.

Igor try this one, this is my own version of Lara 3D model

The figure model without the hair, guns and clothings are 15,000 polygons, combined resolution total 35,000 polygons, that is a total 114 Mb in size! :D

8000 polygons is not even close to an average poly useage in games ... the average is 3500 , rising because of games like crysis and unreal engine 3 games , but still isnt close to 8000 yet .

btw your model's chest is overly large and unshapely , should tweak that a bit .

Yes I noticed that after the rendering was completed, it's not the chest but rather the chest portion of the shirt. I put in the morph target and tried shape it close to the figure's chest, but that part did not respond to the adjustments. Anyway that was just for the quick demo.

Oops forgot to tell you that Lara model of mine is not downloadable, I made and modified it using Poser 7 3D software. I combined different sets of props (clothings and accessories, some free and some not) and adjusted them to fit on the female figure. As for the female body texture maps and body morphs they were made by another Poser artist and I purchased them to modify the female figure. In case you hadn't noticed, she looks a bit like Angelina Jolie, heh heh. :D

I did say it's mine own version of the model, besides you probably got the wrong idea about the word "try", there's no need to get so upset. I am a self-trained 3D art hobbyist and it takes lots of skills and practices to achieve that, it's not like you can buy it or download it anywhere from the internet, so peace I'm out.

DONT BOTHER WITH PHOTOSHOP!!!
I tried it and it was RUBBISH! You can get a free FULL paint program called GIMP 2.2, I and many others use it and it is like photoshop but user friendly and easy to learn too!!!:D
I don't have a link so Google it..

Last time I checked, artists and graphic designers used Photoshop and not GIMP.

Magnificent !
Are the model available for animations?

The original in-game Lara model was made using Maya.
The level data were made with 3DS.

There is a program to rip meshes and textures from bigfiles.
Do a google search on GraveRobber, the guy who made it.

There is also a whole slew of programmers trying to decode the format of the drm object (the data block where each mesh are stored) but up to now, no luck.

It does extract the meshes and can change them to .obj file but there are no bones so animating is impossible.
The obj thing can be imported back into Maya (free Personal Learning Edition) and bones made but...

Anyway, good luck.

There is a free program called 3D Ripper DX that can rip/extract 3D models from DirectX9 games, including TRL and TRA.

http://www.volny.cz/pavlicd/lara_legend.jpg

Edited in Blender (freeware), rendered in Blender+Indigo (freeware) ... i.e. no 3dsmax/Maya needed ;)
