is there a way to make a platform that doesnt originate on the ground

also, i am having BIG trouble making water, so if someone could give a very detailed explaination, that would really help

OK, this will be a long answer.

1) Yes, you can have a platform floating in the air. You have to build 2 rooms and "stack" them. First, make 2 rooms. Then use the Room +/- buttons to raise the second room so its floor is equal to the ceiling of the other room. (This is displayed below the 3D room window). Then you have to click the 2D Map button and move one of the rooms so they are at the same place. Then go to the top room. Choose where you want the platform. Select those sectors and raise them one click. Finally, select all the sectors in the room (except the gray squares) then click the black Hole button. The platform in the top room will be floating in the air.

2) To make water, you also must have stacked rooms. You can do it as described above. Then in the bottom room, click the W button next to the room name. The number next to that is how big the waves will be on top of the water. For a nice effect in the top room, click the R button to create a rippling water reflection on the walls. The number next to that is the strength of the reflection effect.
