Using the Mac version. I've looked around, but can't find what the symbols that "describe" each unit mean: There's a telescope...not sure if that means the range of their guns or visibility form that position. There's a pistol...a sword..? The armour, well must mean how well protected they are. Where can I find a "key"...if one exists? Thanks.

You almost have it figured out. If I recall correctly:

telescope: Unit has increased fireing range
handgun: Fire at an enemy
sword: Charge an enemy
A red boot: Move at a slow pace
A yellow boot: Move at a medium pace (below the normal pace)

I think thats about it

Thanks muchly..finally a response! However, I did not mean the symbols above the heads of units when fighting, but those in a box on mid-upper right of screen when choosing units for a battle (quick game). Clicking on each unit changes the symbols, which appear to be their "qualities"...but I cannot find anywhere a key to them.

Those?

Telescope:Range of unit
Armor: Level of protection against projectiles
Sword: Strength of charge
Pistol: Unit strength

Those are the ones, officerpuppy! (not a flattering name?) I couldn't figure how a sword could have a higher number than a pistol...for example.

Thanks very much...out of interest...how did you find their meanings?
