i was thinking about the depth charges on the ships and how you can watch them go underwater off the back of the ship but when you drop them to kill a sub from a planeyou dont get to see them go underwater and explode but you have to listen for the guy saying youve sunk it. why is this

Because the main reason they change the camera on the Destroyer is so you can change course and stay with the sub, and stay on target.

With the plane mounted depth charges, you just fire and forget.

Just check the tab screen. Sonar will show you the sub, and hence you will be able to see the target's health, instead of listening out for the guy saying you've sunk it.

I'd like to see if they hit too but I'm usually too busy piloting the aircraft to evade enemy fire. Not a big showstopper for me if I can't see it.

If you hold the right trigger when you launch a torpedo,Dc,or bomb the camera will follow it but you don't see it go underwater(airplanes only).
