Just out of interest we may be able to figure out if those of us that cant run the game have a system issue rather than a game issue. This may be of use to the Devs too, I seem to remember AOE3 had a problem with AMD chips and SSE, could we have the same issue here? anyway...

Simply post your PC SPECS and YES I CAN RUN THE GAME / WONT WORK (issue)

I'll start off...

AMD Athlon 2.4 XP
1 Gig RAM
Nvidia 5700FX
XP Pro

WONT WORK (issue : fails straight away)

Go's into Gamespy like a rocket, never fails. ' Bout 50% failure rate on joining games ( ' Connection failed ' after long delay ), Occasionally get hyper sensitive controls ( ships turn very rapidly on one key press ). ' Bout 5% games hang for a while then catch up. One highly amusing occasion when a DD rolled (sank ) right over and kept rolling like a playful porpoise. Only ended when the game did!!

I have run it on two systems:

Intel 1.8 Ghz
Nvidia 6200
1 gig Ram

and

AMD 3200XP (2.4Ghz)
Nvidia 6800
2 gig Ram

It runs smooth on both machines, even though the Intel is below recommended minimum.
When I get "connection failed" it is because the server is full.

I installed the game (DEMO) yesterday and played about 10 hours now and i've never seen a ctd, have never had a lag or low FPS!!! The first 5 hours i joined other MP Games with a Ping of 100-300 MS and after that i started to open a server because the other guys closed them to often while playing. When i ran the server i heard from some guys that they have lags. It could be my connection. I know i have bad connections to Europe. I have never seen any lag in one of my games in the past 10 hours.

The issue selecting Games with the mouse and unable to connect to the server was the only one to me.
