I just bought the PC version and I noticed that "Next Generation Content" lumps together a whole plethora of techniques and technologies that really ought to be seperate options. Just some things I noticed:
1) Normal maps
2) Objects cast shadows
3) HDR lighting
4) Soft shadows

If these were split into several options (as it should have been from the getgo), PC gamers could better balance graphics with framerate. For instance, I could live without soft shadows and HDR lighting and that would bump my framerate up 20fps without much of a loss in quality.

Just seems like a sloppy, lazy, consolitis problem that could be easily fixed.
