NOW IM ANGRY. I posted a long message providing details that my computer is way good enough to handle this game, fowarded them to sites on this page, as a reference, and a whole lot of things.

And what they reply with is

"Hi again,

Unfortunately, once a downloaded game has been activated, we cannot issue a
refund - just like retail stores cannot offer refunds for opened software.
This also includes the game key that you have already been sent and used for
the game. This is not returnable. The minimum system requirements are posted
on the product pages for our games for this exact reason.

If you still feel that your issue has not been addressed by this reply, please
feel free to contact us again. We're sorry for any inconvenience and hope to
see you again at Direct2Drive.

as if they haven't read my email because clearly I have the potentail to easily play my game. Bad customer support if you ask me, I'm re-emailing them, this is BS!

And yes this should be in technical support due to the technical problems im recieving, and not be able to get my money back from them.

This is my reply

"This reply is nonsense. If you read my email you could clearly see my computer could run the game with ease, but it is not performing in the manner it should. You see with the screenshots that I provided that my game is capable of running this game at max settings at the least. I also provided you links to technical support inquries I sent to Edios on their 25 to life forums, followed everything, and it still not did work. How could I tell a product will not work if I don't activate it and play it first?

PS: My local gamestops do allow me to bring open software back along with the reciept and in 7-days of within I baught it for a cash refund. At the least, they allow me to exchange it for a different game with same cash value. So do not bring in store policies in your policies."

I hope they see this because if I reply automatically to the email they provided me, I may just be sending it to no one because it looks like an automated screenname (something like orders@ign.com or w/e) I sent one email there though. Then I sent another email referring them to the case number of this current issue even though for the case I brung up, it will give me a new ticket number. THey should implant a better technical support system that allows you to reply to them via ticket number or something.

they wouldnt refund me either .. looks like we gotta bite it and buy retail or wait for the slow devs to release a d2d patch ... this is getting rather annoying

they wouldn't refund me either. this is getting to be more than rather annoying.

i do not PAY to beta test. if d2d has a faulty product they should STOP SELLING IT ASAP!

and i don't think this is a rare instance as more and more people keep reporting the same bug. EIDOS, STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND DO SOMETHING!

it's only a matter of time before people start flamming & slamming 25TL on ALL the game forums...

i was looking forward to spending a night with a new game, and now it looks like i'll be heading elsewhere. as for d2d, they haven't heard the last of me. and maybe if enough people write in, then maybe, just maybe, they'll get some morals and give us a refund or credit.

somehow i doubt it :( :(

I baught the retail version, and it still has the same problem, but they allow me to get my cash back for that. (Even though I do not want to yet)

Yeah, deadass, lets form a protest or something, this is pissing me off.

We need to sign a petition or something, either to Eidos or D2D

Yep i thought retail would be better .. HA! same problem as the d2d version .. dont waste your money people, wait for a patch or in my opinion, a recode of the game ;)

There REPLY
(So now I'm stuck with 2 copies of the games, I'm not going thru the hassel to get my money back for the physical copy)

Hi again,

Unfortunately this game has already been activated and the built in key used.
We are not able to refund this. If you are still having issues playing the
game then you will need to contact the games support for further assistance.

Beyond the download and activation of the game our job is complete. We didn't
make the game and are not able to assist you.

Same dude. EB wouldn't refund me for the Retail either. So I guess me and you are screwed until Eidos takes their head from their a$$es.

It looks like we as consumers are going to have to take this a step further if nothing is going to be done.
