I remember hearing about Brainchild by Sperry a while back, but I just probed it a little in Dromed today. All I can say is...wow a 'Mech Tech' style design in T1?! Is he still around by any chance?

Sperry's last mission was Shadow of Doubt, a (5?) mission pack, done in late 2002. SOD is very good and very hard. His last post at TTLG was Octiber, 2003. Sperry said on his web page that he does not do anything for long. He said in one of his posts at TTLG that he no longer had Thief. So, it appears he has gone on to other things.

Based on your inquiry, I have gone back into Shadow of Doubt. The first mission, "Walking the Edge," is a great ghoster. With no BJ on Expert and an objective not to kill guards, ghosting is essentially mandatory. It has one techincal problem I am working on now. Will report later.

OK, I finished the first mission of SOD, Walking the Edge. This was my second ghost attempt. In my first, reported here (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?p=83165#post83165) I described a provisional success, the main issue being that you cannot kill Roget without alerting the guard in the stairway outside. This time I had some other issues and tried some different things to avoid the alert, without success. The alert seems to be a scripted event, but it is impossible to prove, so I guess it is a bust. I am a little more hard-nosed now than I used to be. :) Anyway, the additional things are discussed in an edit to the ghost report linked above.

This is a worthwhile mission to ghost even though you cannot completely succeed.
