View Full Version : Why doesn't the AI research in era 2

I started a campaign as France with the battlemod installed and also modded the AI to not trade research points for gold. Britain actually laid the smack to me by taking over Sweden, Denmark, and Hanover and was attacking on French soil by 1794. They reached the 2nd era before me, but then would not research anything in era 2.

Any suggestions on how to mod this? The AI actually was playing a very good game up to this point. They had me bottled up and many battles were fought in the French capital. That part was refreshing. Would just like to see the AI research a little more, get more quests, and create better units.

If you stop AI from trading RPs for cash,you might as well give them bonus otherwise AI will go bankrupt afer putting so much cash into annexation.

If you stop AI from trading RPs for cash,you might as well give them bonus otherwise AI will go bankrupt afer putting so much cash into annexation.

I made these set up, which u had suggested here, but the AI enemies are as weak as before.
It doesnt work.
Any ideas, why the AI enemies are still as weak as before?

Still weak? that's for sure, because the price of soldiers and buildings is more than AI can afford.

PL follow these setting, I have been testing them for a couple of monthes and can gurantee its stability. Now start a new game,don't initiate any attack until 1792,see what will happen...........

What exactly does this do?? And should you not change the empire that you are controlling??

it applies to all countries, big and small alike except for the bonus which are for big 4 AIs(player excluded).

AI needs to be very rich, powerful,and grow fast. now you can have max 50 batalions on the same field(5 marshals on one battlefield at the same time),also generals get promoted quickly.

the change of putting 5 marshals on one field is not based on the unsound ground.take a close look at the first trailer IG released, it had 5 generals standing on one provice on the strat map, and 3 were left on the 2nd & 3rd trailer, don't know why.

and don't expect small AIs will come rushing to kiss your toe to become part of your empire after you liberate 3-4 countries from their oppressor. the sweet time has gone now.....
