Saludos.

Translation to English for sick :)

Hello aWaKeNiNG, already knew your project, a long time ago I put the news in the Fansite www.imperialglory.tk, and in addition I have a Link to the pagina of www.mod-project.com as far as the one to help I am enchanted, the problem is that I of programming very little, nothing but to program paginas Web, skins of the flags has made them several users of the forum, which I can say to them is that they are put in contact with you, to see if they also want to help, thing of which I am safe.

As far as my, any thing that can also do I am arranged, since I do not believe that everything is to know how to handle 3d Studio, if not also there will be another type of workings in which too many previous knowledge are not needed.

Greetings.

Ummmm Can we get back on Topic........ :)

Trueno ....I have a question.......does your Sound Mod's on Your Website...work with USA games?

officerpuppy
30th Jun 2005, 02:26
Hey Capt. Yes Trueno's sound mod will work for the US. Its a compilement of my sounds mods but into .ogg format (thanks Trueno). Though I had more sounds in the combat sounds mod, some new cannon fire sounds and marching sounds.

Before you install, back up your orginal files just in case.
Then just drag and drop the "battle" files into your audio/battle/fx/combat folder.

the "voices" files go into

audio/voices/Francia
audio/voices/Prusia
audio/voices/Inglaterra

As Trueno suggests in his readme, you should tone down the music in the game in order to hear some of the new background marching tunes included in some of the files.

Trueno
30th Jun 2005, 15:07
Hello, If that is, my Mod is a compilation of the sounds created in the Mods de Officerpuppy, single I limit myself to pass them to Ogg and to put the instructions in Spanish for the Hispanic players of the games.

If they want to unload mod between http://usuarios.lycos.es/imperialglory/mods0.htm here

Thanks to Officerpuppy to create the sounds of the Mod, are the best ones.

That's a fascinating French flag. Do you have any plans to create the earlier Napoleonic flag, the battle standards with the red and blue corners?

Sir Crow

You also should not call the Union flag the 'Union Jack' unless you are aboard a ship, if you really want me to bore you with the details I could tell you why?

You also should not call the Union flag the 'Union Jack' unless you are aboard a ship, if you really want me to bore you with the details I could tell you why?

It's only called the Jack when it's in the top left corner of a flag. ie. the Royal Navy Flag, hence the ship thing. I think that's it anyway, am I right Crow??

Anyway, I've just made some 1801 union flags, I'll zip 'em up and upload them tomorrow for ye all.

Thanks for the flags m8 I can't wait. The term 'Jack' is not only confined to the RN it refers to where it was flown, this being from the bow end of the ship from the 'jack' staff.

Union Flag done. CLICK (http://www.martico.co.uk) I could only seem to change the in-battle flag, I found another image, but editing it didn't change the campaign map flag. If I ever find out how to do that I will update this mod.

And yeah Emperor, I know the flag you mean, want me to mod it?

That's entirely the wrong one. ;-) I noted that, by the way, in my very first post in this thread--up the page.

I'm not looking for the later--cheaper--tricolor one with the gold embroidery, but the one I supplied in the screenshot above or that link. I'll look for a better picture or make another screenshot later tonight.

It's the original battle standard adopted for the First Empire in 1804.

EDIT: I'd be neat if we could also figure out how to change the in-game flag on the campaign map. I'm poking around data.pak myself, but haven't had any luck either.

I made some more screenshots from this movie. They're not close enough to be detailed as to the text, but he said he knew which one I was talking about, so it shouldn't be a concern. But here we are:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards2.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards3.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards4.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards5.jpg

And here's a very good site whose images display the text of the flags: http://www.warflag.com/flags/napoleon/napfrance1804.shtml

Actually, Mr. Nock, the best images for the text are ones I just made (as of this fourth edit) here:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards10.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards9.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/grandadmiraljello/Standards/standards8.jpg

Those images are pretty close-up to the actual text of the flags.

about inslalling these new flag skins etc i dont have the folders the read me's say i should in my IG folder.

Emperor of the French
19th Jul 2005, 22:18
It's from Napoleon: An Epic Life, a TV miniseries from 2002. It's available from A&E DVD. You can find it there, but for $50. It's cheaper on Ebay.

Or, rent it from the library. That's what I did.

Though it's tragically in full-screen, and it's only 6 hours long. The original French version is in widescreen and 8 hours long. I've seen both. It's quite well done, and fairly accurate. There are a few errors here and there, such as Napoleon committing the Guard at Eylau when he really didn't.

Zerg: It's VERY simple if you have Windows XP.

See the file data.pak? Rename it to data.zip. Then double-click to get inside, and browse through the models and banderas folders like the readme says. Make a backup of whatever flag you're replacing by copying it and pasting it anywhere. Then simply drag and drop (or paste) the new flag into that folder, and let it replace.

Since your computer will have to temporarily unzip the computer, the HDD will make noise and make another 1.2 gig temporary file. It may potentially act like it's locking up, but just wait five minutes. If it's still doing that, use ctrl+alt+del to kill any open explorer windows, then navigate back to the IG directory. Make sure there are no random 1.2 gig files hanging about (there will be one) and delete them, then restore the name of "data.zip" to "data.pak". Despite your computer locking up then, the replacement WILL have already been made.

If you don't have XP, you can do the precise same thing with WinRAR or Winzip, but it'll just use excess applications.
