What units do you choose for your armies? I usally pick some grenaiders or elite infantry a good amount of elite calvary and about 4 artliiery peices. Calavry usaully consist of 1/4 of my army, just curious how others organizie there armies.

I am doing good with 2 full divisions (max # of regiments under a commander) of generic infantry (line/grenadier) infantry and 1 full division of high-defense cavalry (lancers) in my attack armies in the AAR game (see signature for link).

The infantry soak up the punishment and are easily replaceable. The lancers are more survivable than the other cavalry and useful for flanking/arty killing/supporting infantry being attacked by cavalry, etc.

I find what works best for me is 1 unit of Light inf. 1 unit each of Line inf and grenadiers, 1unit of cav and 1 unit of artil. per general. My army normaly has 3 generals. This way if i have to split my force each general has a reasonable mix.
