Never read anything about a topic you know the writer has no knowledge about. ... which is sadly over 97% of all newreports.

So everytime you see someone talking about Lara's cup size you can be sure he is not a Tomb Raider player (except for this one pervert I have banned a hundred times).

I have just asked my wife "How long do your cups need?" after posting the reply above.

She is cooking corn on the cob right now. :o

My cobs are almost ready, Dearest. ;)

But "a...physique ... less likely to put off female gamers...." is hogwash. I wonder which female gamers they mean because the Tomb Raider forum proves that equal numbers of male and female gamers play Lara Croft's adventures. http://www.catsuitandponytail.com/files/rolleyes.gif

What was I saying before about reporters? Oh yes:
I've never had any respect for ... "journalism" or "paparazzi" or the "town gossip" and this is part of why. Spin is all they care about, never TRUTH. http://www.catsuitandponytail.com/files/etongue.gif

Unfortunately, it's the media who - in more cases than not - are responsible for swaying public opinion, which is how this misrepresentation became an issue in the first place.

Truth be told, most female gamers don't care anything about Lara's cup size.
We understand(sigh) that men designed her and that young males....
well, enough about that.

Anyway, I always found it a bit disconcerting where the camera was placed when Lara made ascents lol, but not too much was ever said about that.
So, I guess, it's just me. :p

Don't get me started............ still, more importantly, it would be no point in stressing my views on this subject as I think most of you already know. Having a discussion about this very subject with someone very close to me, I think we came to the conclusion that it was ok for Lara to wear sexy clothes, but the Breast augmentation, or Pnumatics as some call it, was a big no no.

Now I am just as fond as any man(or woman) of that part of the anatomy, but come on guys(those in the list) this is a game and Lara has so much more going for her. ;)

Looks like part of the normal PR campaign for a product launch, not something invented by the journalists. I'd bet money this is from a press release written by Eidos printed virtually word for word in the paper - this is how it usually works with articles about products that are not real news. They want to get people talking, especially when they're trying to reveal a new improved formula, better than the last one.

It seems to be much ado about nothing to me. Something I took cognizance of for maybe the first time whilst playing (to speak euphemistically - "reverse-engineering" was more accurate,) Angel of Darkness, was the fact that when I'm playing I rarely am even conscious of Lara's appearance - I tend to merge with the character and remain entirely focused on the task and/or nasty attacking entities at hand. It's only in those rare software-related instances where she's in extremely close quarters and the camera perspective is situated about three inches from her bellybutton... And of course that horrid "nude patch" some guy did for TR II, which looked so much like one of those inflatable "love-dolls" that it was worth a belly-laugh but quickly devolved to intolerable stupidity.

A side gripe I have is when these snooty little journalist types spew out that now-cliched "appeals to teenage boys" line. That's just an editorial comment that's too cowardly to specify openly its own flipside: that any male who has any kind of sexual attraction to females, must therefore be "a teenage boy." It may come as a complete shock, but I think sexuality (of whatever orientation,) is hard-wired into the brain of every human being, and doesn't just evaporate after ten hormone-drenched years. To me it's those who attempt to deny or evade the fact - out of religious superstition, or peer conformity or other variants on the "PC" neurosis, or maybe bitterness over having involuntarily entered the Viagra/Levitra/Cialis patient base - that are the most blatant in their immaturity...

As I've posted elsewhere (though don't ask me to remember,) the only thing about Lara's physical appearance that would concern me is if it is altered to the point where it seems like a different character altogether. Despite the fact that with Legend they've made Lara a dead ringer for Claire Danes' Kate Brewster character from Terminator 3, a subtle shrinkage of bust size into the realm of gravitational plausibility doesn't bother me much - I hadn't even noticed the change in the Legend images released thus far, until I read this thread.

Someplace else (maybe at tombraiderforums.com?) some freakishly-observant soul alerted the gaming world to the fact that you can actually see Lara's bust...umm...bouncing in that 360 degree clip above the waterfalls. As someone fully - and unapologetically - attracted to the female form, that just makes me smile. A toast to physics! To Newton! Hearhear! :D

I am glad to find out about this.
Lara's "original" configuration was a quality about her that made her look bad.
Like some kind of bimbo with guns.
Those camera-angles that would make sure that you were getting a big eyeful of her more than ample bosoms were always sort of insulting.
She should have always been more streamlined, more sleek.
Now this is more like it.
Cheers for the new Lara Croft ! ! :D

You're right Susan. There's an old saying that any publicity is good publicity as long as they spell your name right .... and well, at least they didn't call her LAURA Croft!

The way they're putting it, they're making it seem as though the game revolves around the size of her breasts. I mean surely she did always have big breasts, but sometimes womens' breasts reduce naturally. I know she's just a video game character, but does the size of her breasts really affect gameplay? I don't think so. But then again some of the players are men, while some of the players only play to check out her boobs. Nonetheless, the game would still be just as enjoyable if she were an A cup!

But that is what most of these people look at. Who cares if she's a Double-D, or even a Triple-D! I think (though I doubt) with smaller boobs, she might actually fit into the smaller places lol.

But I swear. Sometimes people are so ignorant! All they look at is physical features if it's a female character, that's a straight male player. But we women don't have much to look at since male video game characters are not running around in tight pants or speedos. But I'm tired of the ignorance against Lara Croft... She is a strong female woman, not a model for playboy!
