I know, it sounds stupid but can I do campaign without the timer telling me how much time I have left?

Is there a campaign for Europe and surroundings without the timer?

I think this is a game mechanic thats wildly accepted as needed in this genre so that games dont just become a case of entrenching your troops and hitting a stalemate. The length of time for the matches are also variable i believe so reflect the difficulty of the battle (again i believe this is the `norm`)

its right under the section that lets you play as any civ. Play as SPQR I consider them to be the funnest to play as, but until you conquer the peninsula you will be losing A LOT of money per turn so spend it all before the first turn.
