Greetings all,

As you may all know I have formed a mod team for this wonderful game Imperial Glory. We are now 5 strong, 2 artists, 2 historians & 1 pain in the arse Sgt. (me ;) ). While this is a step in the right direction it is a far cry from a fighting force. The current ambitous project calls for many more able bodied greatly skilled men. Artists & animators are a necessity at the moment. Programmers as well are very much welcome. I am a firm believer of keeping everyone up to date on devolpments.

Current Main Project: New textures for every nation as historically accurate as possible. (except Britain & Austria which are available now).

Current Status: Spain will be the 1st completed nation & released to the community within the next couple weeks.

Current Side Project : Horse Variation Mod - This creates horse variation in cavalry units. Only certain nations will have this as others historically had all the same color horses.

Current Status : I would like to push for a release date of this weekend. Though I will need to consult with my head historian if it would be accurate to implement this for the 2 available countries (Britain & Austria)

I will keep this thread as up to date as time permits.

All Team Members - PM or e-mail me with any questions. lets try to keep this thread clean.

Nice. I did say the other day that cavalry units would try to use horses all of one colour. However there would always be slight variations. I see you've added that in, looks good. Officers might buy themselves especially high quality horses of different colour but as IG doesn't have officers... :(

Could you drop me a note by e-mail, I've e-mailed you twice in the last 2 days without a reply and I'm keen to see what stage your work is at. Your use of additional forces etc that are clearly outside the demo battles is interesting, perhaps I can help with some work in this area.

*UPDATE:

Things are abit slow at the moment on our current project as we have ran into some limitations with the demo. I am hopeful these will disappear with the arrival of the full version. Currently The British Artillery is in it's 3rd beta I may decide to release it to the community later this week just to get some feedback.

In the meantime i've been playing around somemore with things & got another unit working though we don't have the textures or models for this unit it is fully functional.

No, we already have our own website & forum & we have 4 researchers. Thanks for the offer though, but we already can take care of ourselves. You could join the Skirmishers for something else, but not a researcher please.

Lord Zimoa, I'm sorry, please ignore jeffdan9's reply above as he has no authority to respond on The Skirmishers behalf. I will ask Berdan to get in touch with you privately. Since we need tons of reference material, particularly on the more obscure nations and the Lordz have already done a lot of excellent work in this regard I see no reason why The Skirmishers should not come to you with requests for information which you have so kindly offered and we go and reinvent the wheel :)

I was saying that when I joined, I wanted to be a researcher but it was full so I had to join as a programmer. So, I thought we are not accepting researchers anymore. But you don't have authority to respond on the Skirmishers behalf. Saying that I don't have the authority & saying you could is irresponsible & doesn't accurately represent The Skirmishers generousity toward new members, code of ethics, & collaberation between members.

Hi Lordz and thank-you for the offers. I am sure Berdan will get in touch with you regarding your generous offers. I have lurked around your website for awhile and very much appreciate what you guys are doing over there. If you ever need any help, shoot me a pm. My skills are meager (I did the Hussar and artillerymen skins above for Berdan), but I like Rome:TW's morale and fatigue system and can't wait to see what you guys do with it.

Cheers!
