I hope all Napoleonic fans will enjoy Imperial glory and Cossacks2, the more Napoleonic games the better, if you have time come and visit the Lordz and see our Napoleonic modding projects based on the Total War engines.
We need your interest and support and wish you much fun with both new Napoleonic games.

Awesome, with those graphics and with the TW engine behind the game it promises to be quite good for a mod done by folks!

what game is that

5th Apr 2005, 02:05
what game is that

Its a mod of Rome: Total War from the Total War series, which has been shown once again to be one of the best games of the genre, even though RTW had and still has some issues due to a quick release.

Will This Mod Be Better Then Imperial Glory Alltogether

We dont mind open discussion, but can we remind people that this is a Imperial Glory forum, not a `Rome Total War` forum.

If Lordz is looking to do a IG mod and discuss it thats cool, but to advertise your product from a rival game is a little cheeky ;)

I am sorry, I am almost sure I am going to get canister shot for this, but...

Don't you think that the devs. at IG should take a close look at the competition?

Yeah you are right it is cheeky of posting that here and the gal of it all, but good god, it must be admirable! The difference!

I find nothing wrong with imitating a game, taking something that has been done and making it better. Every game should have a bench mark that it is ready to surpass, or to be a new benchmark itself.

IG seems to be a little doomed because not only it is the 1st 3d game of its genre (as in Napoleonic 1812), but also they have not seem to have taken the time to look at the competition, and lets not mention the “finishing touches” (also known as: listening to the future fans, because they just might have some valid points).

If the company had a profit margin in mind, punctuated by deadlines, then let them take a look at a bunch of guys who only have one thing in mind; dedication to good gaming.
And those guys are also going to be the missing slice of EIDOS corporate cake.

Yeah I am sure the Lordz game will have its flaws, but the effort alone just from the few screenshots you can feel you want to have it as soon as possible, and some already have doubts if they are going to invest in IG at all, and that feeling will not diminish but will just multiply as the project unfolds.

Can you still say the same about IG???...*smile*….Oh and don’t forget the demo!

Only time will tell.
