In Japan, select games that do really well in sales get promoted to become "Ultimate Hits", and are repackaged with silver bordered box art: it's a practice you might be familiar with with Sony's Greatest Hits collections for each PlayStation console.

Added to the lineup, as of today, are Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy and the Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection.

You can view the Ultmate Hits here (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/uh/). Feel free to discuss them!

Is it a PSP wide thing or is it something that Square does solely for their company?

It's a Square Enix thing specifically, considering that they do have games for Nintendo systems in the Ultimate Hits lineup.

Hmm I did not know that. That's pretty interesting. Do you know what the parameters are to make a game an Ultimate Hit?

Might have got some terminology wrong, here. It's not so much of having a sales requirement rather than just rereleasing the game for cheaper. In Japan, Square Enix games tend to do well anyway.
