Hey everybody

Does anyone know how I can become a beta-tester of the game if that is still possible...????

Thanks
Benjamin

As far as I know Eidos has never had public betas so in order to beta test the game you'd need to work at either Eidos or Pyro.

I read that there will be a public beta test for 25 to life too (which is also published by Eidos.) So it looks like public beta testing is getting interesting for Eidos.

Is Eidos always 2 steps behind, Sick?

2 steps behind what exactly? We've started running beta tests through the Sony Underground beta program. Two titles have already gone through, not suprisingly being Crash and Burn and Snowblind- our first two online titles. I'm not sure what's upcoming but we have been running them, so anything is possible.

THAT is good news. :)

Hopefully they do it with this title - and they give enough time so that it can be done thoughly AND changes can be made if they get adverse feedback.

Personally, I believe in two stage Betas.
Stage 1 is for technical issues (bugs) and techies can do this fine (mostly).
Stage 2 is for gameplay issues and you really need potential customers for this. Bugs will still be found (because players will do and try things that the techies consider 'stupid' and so wont even try).
But more than that - issues affecting GAMEPLAY will be found.
The second test will also help the developers to figure out exactly what issues player will complain about most. Some of these things they can rightly ignore (I want LAZER GUNS!  ) but they should be careful not to ignore them all.
