I'd like to see her with.....

1. a camera that lets you have control of it at all times so it doesn't f*** you up when you're trying to do something.

2. her pistol that she used to have that never ran out of bullets.

3. something that would stop her silly butt from climbing over the handrails when you get to close.

4. an option for "story so far..." like the instruction book that comes with it says it has but doesn't really.

Hi Chris,

I thought a matadors cape would come in handy in case she's charged again by a bull ex.TRLR

Some sleeping pills for any minotaurs in the area.

And motion sickness pills for when Lara has to jump over those huge gaps:):D

I think Lara would only do # 2 if she could be discreet
afterall Lara deserves some privacy with personal things
Im sure you will agree

Invincible
yes your right there is interest in looking , but will you
see is another thing altogether, but no harm in trying
ah... those urges what to do...ummmmm

Star Girl
Kurtis is not the one for lala, she should find a bf

I'm still trying to figure how Lara's to give the minotaur a sleeping pill without getting to close. Do minotaurs take coffee breaks? lol:D jk

and also a character named Chris Daly who is just lara's back up man when she bored and needs his services;)

There are flares in AOD???

If Kurtis is actually dead i guess that 5L of chocolate ice-cream and a video-tape of her fav soap opera would be her best company in her adventure...;)

Seriously speaking now...
I would like to see Lara imbued with a special power which was granted to her when she encountered Kurtis. I don't care what this special ability would be but i think it would be a nice addition... (even if it is passive, only used in cinematics ect.) ;)

If you played either doom or quake than you know what I'm talking about. Lara needs a BFG 10000.

Cool idea Panoulis:cool:

Like telekinisis the ability to move objects, would be fun. And Lara would need this ability to solve some of the puzzles. I like it!:)

Sorry I just meant all the TR games. You're right about there being no flares in AOD. Stupid if you ask me.

Ive been looking at some physics paradoxes that
occur following Lia67's comments about the ability
to move objects - telekenisis

TR7 could benefit from exploring some of these boundarys

I found this one called the bug rivet paradox that
explores relative time between a moving object - a rivet and
a bug -stationary. The point being that these paradoxes
exist in mathematical explanation and prove what is physically
measured alters visually and actually when subjected
to forces. Cheers / Chris

Hi Chis,

I saw a documentary once about a Russian scientist who was exploring the posiblity of Telekenisis. I don't remember his name because I saw the documentary a long time ago. There were a few people who could move objects, but they were small like a pencil or a paperclip.

The scientists study was to see if their brains were moving the object or if they produced more electrical energy then most people. His conclusion was the latter since the subjects were placing their hands over the objects to make them move but not touching them.

This study was done around 1940.

1.give her a bike like cagiva mito 125 and a few more models of other makes.

2.give her a car like a topless BMW.

3.then make the graphics similar to GTA VICE CITY. Or simply just use that engine.

Hey that will be quite good. For dark areas like tombs and such.

Chris Daly
2nd Oct 2004, 09:55
How about a miners light that she wears
on her head, which would keep her hands free for
jump and grabs in the darker tombs and
making it easier to explore underwater
caverns.

Maybe also a power point to charge
up the battery.

The flares were pretty groovy in earlier TR
games but Lara should have the latest gear.

u know what she really needs people:.................. a knife, and those other things a girl needs if she is gonna be away for awhile.

Ruby

You mean one of those army knifes? Could be useful.

She doesn't need any of girl things, it's game remember
BloodRayne,Zelda, and others don't, so why ta hell should she.

Ycdeo comments about the motorbike, remind
me of how good the Quad bike was on TR3

Now without getting into ecological debates
or violence ,how about a chainsaw for getting
through closed roads or doors that refuse to open.

Cheers / Chris

What about Lara being pregnant and giving birth to
offspring that want to be Tomb Raiders too.

I have suggested in another thread the father might
be Von Croy .. er is this too outrageous ???.

and i realise this may not quite fit the description
of this thread ... items for TR7 but im sure some items
might arise.

cheers / Chris

I read in a story (www.fanfiction.net) in which a few journalists ask Lara "Is it true you and Werner had a child?".Really funny.

Having opened a tomb or two, Lara should be able to sit
its not natural she stands runs jumps etc but doesnt sit

Hey Chris :)

Yes, if Lara could sit back and take a load off, I could take a breather as well.;) I think it would be kind of cool and funny if she could take ot a sandwich and drink from her backpack and have lunch while relaxing.:D

While we're in the subject of Lara's movements, it would be really cool if the new TR had some new ways of jumping. I'm playing a custom level right now and I have to jump to this crevace by backflipping and rolling at the same time. Problem is the crevace is to close and Lara hits the wall but won't grab. Lara could easily crawl in the crevace, so the new move could be jump/crawl to get into small spaces. :)

Chris Daly

Yes controls do need looking at , I like the suggestion of jump
and crawl into spaces. Ive been sourcing all the old TR games
and I think the use on PS2 of the old 4 controls and the left and right analog stick together is better. you can move inrementaly
forward and back as well and the old controls give
a great and necessary variation on movement.

I went back to AOD and although i have played AOD through 3 times ( Im a fanatic ) the movement was clumsy compared
to TR 3 - or even TR1 ( with TR1 its just the old controls ), and takes quite a bit of time to get familiar with again.

Re Lara sitting you have given some great insight into
a necessary characteristic of games to allow to rest
a bit , now what sort of sandwiches and drink would
Lara have in that famous backpack ?

Cheers / Chris

It would be really funny to see Lara attacked by a monster during her lunch and she offers it a sandwich :D :D .

Lia67
5th Nov 2004, 18:00
Hi Chris :)

Let's see, how about chicken salad sandwichs and a bottle of Perrier.

Perhaps the monster could join Lara at lunchtime Stargirl, now that would be funny, like the sheepdog and Wile E coyote in the Bugsbunny cartoons.:D

Dino

This reminds me of the Lucozade commercial where Lara is being chased by a bad guy. The gamer pauses the game for a break, and Lara and the bad guy sit down to have a bottle of Lucozade until the gamer returns -- also with a bottle of Lucozade.

tut people what she REALLY needs is a damn rope wit a hook thingy on the end of it!! imagine all those places that u could have avoided clumsy jumps coz she couldnt reach it with a standing jump? i think a rope wud b cool. of course ud have to master your aim, that shud b the challenge

Chris Daly
3rd Dec 2004, 10:48
The rope idea is a good one , I must admit Im still
trying to get used to swinging ropes in TR4

AOD missed out on having any ropes at all
which is a pity. Lets hope they turn up in TR7
with a hook thing.

We must be creating all sorts of challenges for
the TR7 designers.

Cheers / Chris

The Original Tomb Raider started with an FMV with Lara using a rope and a grappling hook. If she hadn't had that, she would still be standing out in the cold in Peru with her guide.
