View Full Version : FFXIV: How to contact Customer Support?

I made this cause it is not easy to find a contact number for Square-Enix Support.
Number is North America, California
Phone: 1-858-790-7529 hours are Monday thru Friday I forget exact times but it is PST.
Press 3 when computer answers and hold line they answer in order of incoming calls.
Sorry I do not know Europe Numbers.

I called in on the minute the phone lines were to open for Customer Support.

I have been on the phone for over 3 1/2 hours,, there could not have been that much of a call cue in a minutes time..

So,, Are you answering your phones or am I a paying customer wasting my time..?

I just want assistance and I think I have waited long enough...

Would love to use these Forums, but when I try to use them it says I have to select a character before I can use them. But then does not allow me to select one.

Seriously Square Enix support is an exercise in banging one's head again a wall repeatedly. Painful and achieves nothing.

I did the online chat option to contact them, it did take a while but I didn't have to sit with a phone to my head. It even makes a loud bloop sound when they respond so you don't even have to stay on the page.

You'll want to go here https://support.na.square-enix.com/contact.php?id=496&la=1 and fill out the best category of your question. After you do that, it'll give you some suggested pages to read that may answer your question. Just click NEXT and it'll give you the options for email, live chat, or phone support. Hope that helps :)

I phoned the uk land line for my arr pre-order ffxiv arr ce asking for my early acces code and they told me they have no more codes....

Unfortunately this isn't the case on weekends. Chat support isn't there. The link was helpful otherwise though. :)

What I MEANT was, it's a 3012 ("you are still logged in the game..") isssue, not they typical "worlds are down/not accepting logons/stuck in queue" type thing.
As I understand it, "You are still logged in.." issues require manual intervention to clear. That's what I wanted to submit.
I was able to submit a ticket, we'll see.

What prefix do I use if calling from outside UK? I tried +44 and then 08706000182 but didnt work.

Yup, I just spoke to them. Took me about 8 minutes of waiting, and he then sent me an email with the code.

Same. I just called them.
Gave them my Order # and they sent out the email. The guy did also mention that Hotmail and Live accounts had been blocked. Could be a cover up :O

If all hotmail accounts had been blocked there would be a LOT more people complaining.

i also just called took me 9 minutes to reach and he also said to me that Microsoft where blocking all the email to hotmail/live accounts...
They where gonna send my code from an other account and it will take 30 minutes to an hour he said :D

I phoned them up and was told hotmail/live accounts were blocking the emails sent to them. They tried sending a code from another mail adress, and it should arrive within 30 minutes. So im gonna give this an hour or so. Hopefully its on its way.

Good customer service on their phoneline atleast :)

So it took just about 30 minutes to get my activation code after giving their support a ring.
As the guy answering my call prommised. i entered the code, and voila. I am now downloading the game.
5/5 to their phone support

Top post. Just rang them and received my code within 2 minutes. They sent me an email with the code and the link to start downloading the client. I am using a hotmail account and the email went straight into my inbox. Did not have to check my junk mail.

Worked! Cheers for that! Apparently though, they won't send an email with the code in as they're far too busy to send them; if you ring, get a pen and paper.

That's weird. When I'm calling the NA support number, it's telling me that I need to call them back in their "normal business hours".

I think it's because it's opening at 9AM PST and right now it's 6:43AM. Will try to call them at 9:00 and give you guys feedback with the NA support number.

Im curious if using this will kick my two day old ticket back to the end of the line.

I want to get my invalid game code issue resolved, GMG says they cant do anything which is pathetic...and SE is silent on the issue

If I use this I don't want to reset the ticket queue for me as its taking them long enough to even acknowledge my ticket to begin with

I couldn't tell you about that m8 but when i had issues with cjs keys the gw2 devs told me to speak with the retailer first

Yeah GMG is telling me its out of their hands and up to SE...which is awesome...since SE has no customer support and no communication with their customers.

Basically they tell me to keep trying. As much as im happy I paid $30 for the chance to babysit my key and continually try to enter it...I really wish I hadn't bothered with this game.

Hell im not even sure if GMG sold me a legit key...I mean they cant do anything regarding the products they sell which is shady...the company who is suppose to help me is silent.... I have several tickets open, all of them will be replied to in two days....great do I have to wait until after launch to redeem my early access?

Its sad that since ive been gaming over a decade here...this is the first game key ive ever memorized....

After going on the link given, click the blue button that says "billing and payment" up in the rightish is corner there is a button that says "contact" with a picture of a envelope. after you pressed that button you follow the instuctions: Press Get Support ->Choose Contact category:Account/Billing ->Choose Sub category:(add anything) ->Write Contact Details:(i worte "preorder") -> press Next -> press Next again -> And you should be able to proceed to chat support

make sure you hit the north America flag before you start or the chat option is not an option because they are closed in the uk atm.. so if you make sure you are on the North America section before you start you will get the chat option.

This does /not/ work, I did it when they opened the support at 9am PST and the agent told me they don't deal with such things and I'd need to call their Digital River number. Called that number and got some agent who said that there's currently a high volume on serials and I'd have to wait 24 - 48 hours. Waited in the queue for 32 people for about an hour and a half. You can try this if you want but all they're going to tell you is just to wait.

Well I'm waiting my turn. Only 1 hour 40 minutes to go then I too can hopefully get code and be unable to play anyway. At least something would be accomplished.

Don't worry i've also been waiting for days and received nothing but 2 absolutely useless customer "support" emails just containing automatic replies that were no help whatsoever.

STILL waiting for my codes. Ugh. Think i'll go back to another game instead.

THIS IS MESSED UP!!! I have not gotten my Pre Order code or my bonus item code! i bought the CE Digital version and have yet to get any code at all Wtf is going on ???? I want to play! they already took out the money from my card for the purchase so i am expecting to get my code and play!...

Yep, I had the same thing happen. 3 times today no less, started at 9:00AM. I'm guessing that their live chat option for NA is a lie, as everyone I know that tried to get through that way got the 'no agents available' line after waiting from around 186th. They probably just have the line wait that long in hopes that people will give up. Hopefully their horrible treatment of customers makes the headlines of at least the game related news sites. I'll be disputing the charge with my CC company first thing tomorrow AM.

I bought Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 26 August afternoon. Receive an confirmation mail just after that. But it's now 10:00 am for me and i still don't have my Key for the game

Who does not have key : Call them . there is a thread here with the numbers for EU and NA. they give the key over the phone.

I'm totally sorry for those that this method don't work :/, I did it and I have my code in 10 mins by the agent after asking my order number. It worked for others so keep trying guys, they have to give you your code.

I have been on hold for over 3 hours for contacting Square Enix on the phone and I was on hold for almost an hour and a half for the chat support before the chat support canceled my chat. I have been doing this for 2 days now. All because when I added the collectors edition code to my account it created an addition account for me. So when I log in, I have the main account with my pre-order items and a second one with my Collectors edition items. I want them all on one account, especially since I already have a lvl 19 character on my main account. I'm more than pissed on how unhelpful Square is being at this point.

I am having the same issue. I cannot get a hold of square enix, and I have 2 accounts with characters. The main one ends in a day, and I hope like hell i do not lose my level 25 character. I want them either moved to the 2nd account with my CE items, or have the accounts merged into one so I can keep my subscription, as well as get rid of this 2 account crap and enjoy the game. This seriously could be a deal breaker for me if Square doesnt get their crap together. I have tolerated a lot, this is ridiculous.

This is the most ridiculous thing. How do you find where to put in your support ticket number? How do you access live chat? where is the phone number to call them?

The support center says I can check a ticket and it should show up as open somewhere, it does not, nothing I mouse over works.

Why can you even register a CD key on a button that adds an additional FFXIV character under the same account? why would you even want that its one login.

I'm so angry right now. Any kind soul that can explain navigating this BS website would be appreciated.
