Why does an infantry-formation only has 40 men? Or will the player be able to change this number?

Where did you get 40 from?

If you counted screenshots/trailer you need a hobby :p, though if you did then its probably unreliable as the devs have said, this kind of material is old and the game engine wasn't running at its full..

Yes, Sir! But on every screen there are unit signs at the bottom with a number! For cavalry 25, infantry 40 and artillry 4!

Frustrating, but this I am sure is only a matter of time before there is something done about it. In Shogun you could change this number.

Really? I've Shogun, too, but never recognized the ability to change the number of soldiers in a formation! But I'm completely sure that in Medieval it isn't possible!

Ooops! I mean in the Warlord Edition you can change this in the options menu, for a time I had 80 soldiers in every troop.

You are then completely wrong. Go to options from the main menu and select unit size = huge. That will give you infantry unbits of 200 men and cavalry 0f 120

Yes? I thought that just affects the size of the whole army in a battle!

The clue is in "Unit Size" :p
