I got this in my email today from my brother out in California.

--------
>>Subject: Fwd: W32.Netsky Worm
>>
>>The email below is about a Virus/Worm that hit the Internet Tuesday.
>>Your NAV (Norton Anti Virus) will not detect it if it is not dated 2/25
>>or better. Please Update your NAV immediately if you have not done so.
>>Two users were infected in N248 and Their NAV was up to the date of
>>2/18/04 but even being with in a week wasn't good enough for this Virus/Worm.

>>>Hello Everyone,
>>>Ames has had dramatic increase today in virus-infected email stemming
>>>from this worm. W32.Netsky, and its variants, is another mass-mailing
>>>worm that uses its "own" SMTP engine. It then sends itself to other
>>>email addresses after scanning the local harddrive, address books,
>>>mounted drives, etc. It affects: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98,
>>>Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP
>>>
>>>The Ames antivirus email systems have detected and prevented thousands
>>>of messages from infecting us. But it's a good reminder to run a local
>>>antivirus program anyway, configured to get daily definitions, since the
>>>virus could be received from other sources i.e., web-email or file
>>>downloads from web sites, peer-to-peer applications, IM, etc.
>>>
